Ive been around D2 for a long time. Its hard to quantify what it means for a program to have a player drafted. There are only a handful each year. It is truly a special accomplishment. This is Kyle's moment but its huge for Lenoir-Rhyne and D2 as well. 37th overall. Just awesome.

Consistent with what we heard last week. A few teams reported viewership down 75-85%. The lost exposure from local broadcast television is simply unacceptable.
Lost 76% of our online viewing audience with the paywall today compared to last year’s NCAA second round game, plus our entire TV audience. We are getting a whopping 6% of the net revenue back. Not sure how that is extending the reach of Division II championships.

On Friday, Lenoir-Rhyne unveiled renderings of the proposed renovations to Moretz Stadium. Gameday environment in Hickory is one the best in the nation, this would also give the Bears one of the finest facilities in D2.

-Frostburg is only in year 2 of D2FB but they are legit
-UNCP had a good spring and coaches noticed.

This was the game winner in Fayetteville State's CIAA championship game win over Chowan. Heading into the game, the kicker was 0-7 from beyond 40. Nailed it from 43 as time expired. His longest FG of the year. Awesome.

Lenoir-Rhyne announces the hiring of Doug Socha. In six years at Keiser he had a record of 55-15 with 5 conference championships, 5 playoff appearances 2 trips to the finals and the 2023 national title.

Big news in D2 coaching circles. Lenoir-Rhyne coach Mike Jacobs has accepted the head coach position at D1 Mercer. LR is a very desirable job that should attract a ton of elite candidates.
After four seasons and a 32-9 record, Mike Jacobs has resigned to become the Head Coach at Mercer University.

It's very close, but I think Lenoir-Rhyne will get the final playoff spot in Super Region 2. D2 winning % is the same as SSU. I have LR with slightly higher SOS (its so close it's basically even). It may come down to LR having better wins and more wins against teams over .500
