My daughter wanted a new road bike for her 17th birthday instead of driving lessons like all her friends were getting. She’s 23 now and still hasn’t learnt to drive. What’s the point she says? Between public transport, cycling and walking, there is no point!

The property had thermal panels on the roof from the 80s when we moved in. They've been reliably producing hot water in the summer ever since, but looked awful. The new solar panels are far better from an appearance perspective

Few years back, had a car deliberately drive at 18mph in front of us to slow us down. Was actually great as we had been cycling into a stiff head wind and the car was great to draft behind for the few miles until we turned off.

The battery is 9.5kwh. Was fully charged when the system stopped generating last night and we used approx 35%by the time we went to bed, that included cooking a meal in the oven and running the dishwasher. Tv, computer etc

I’ve also read that the corruption in Russia has meant that their nuclear capability is severely compromised because money that should have been spent on maintaining the capability has been spent on yachts etc. considered likely much of their arsenal is inoperative

I worked in retail while at uni. Couldn’t believe how rude customers generally were for no reason. Since that experience I’ve always been particularly friendly and polite to every assistant I meet in a shop, so I get really pissed if they’re rude to me but Mr nice prevails!

I’ve seen and smelt countless cars and vans being DRIVEN past me with the driver smoking weed. If you follow any of the police forces it’s shocking how many drug drive stops they do each day and often not only weed, cocaine etc. it should be a life time ban if caught

Doesn’t surprise me. One of my neighbours is church warden, lay preacher etc etc, but runs cyclists off the road on the way to church (or any other opportunity that presents itself). I don’t get why someone would do this anyway but a Christian? Good will to all man and all that

I think it’s to do with density of population and number of vehicles on the road. Uk roads are really my Busy and congested, causing drivers to be more impatient and take stupid risks to get past at the first opportunity

Inexcusable reckless driving. It was driving like this that killed my uncle, an innocent pedestrian, hit by someone doing 80mph. Instantly dead, dismembered & a life sentence of grief for my family.

Riding two abreast (within the law) takes up less space than a vehicle, is easier to overtake than riding one behind the other & only upset a minority of drivers who have probably not left enough time for their journey & become impatient having to slow down for a few seconds

I listened to a scientist talking about the challenge of plastic recycling being difficult as each plastic had its own composition and can only be recycled with like plastic. Her view is that it's best to use it all as an energy source and burn it to generate power
