@wastemailing There's something to recommend in any translation, and reading comparatively is a wonderful exercise.

This has been my experience as well, and that of everyone I've ever met who trains. @BernardoFariaJJ is a gift to humanity. Go try jiujitsu!

Better to Beg is fantastic and @KeersteeMack is a virtuoso. I was lucky to read this early and frankly, it rocks. Huge voice. Unforgettable characters. A rock and roll roadtrip underdog story. I have been biting my tongue waiting to hype this up because it is SO GOOD. Wait over!
This dumpster (2025) is lit! Say hello to SWEET TRASH PRESS (an imprint of @HouseofVlad) founded by @JillianLuft. Our first title will be @KeersteeMack's radical rock-n-roll road novel, BETTER TO BEG. FALL 2025! Submissions are open!

@PhilKlay @DAMendelsohnNYC Strongly disagree with this section. Mitchell's alliterative "s" is clearly an effort to reproduce the explosive, shushing, hissing sound of surf, and used to great effect. Regardless, an excellent article and happy to see this kind of discussion.

"I hate AI because it does not work at most of the things its promoters claim it does, and many of the things it does do are explicitly evil." The Butlerian Jihad can not come soon enough. Terrific work from @shockproofbeats.

An astonishing article from my friend @johnismay and several others. The LoW issues in this conflict have cried out for this kind of careful reporting. Glad to see his work.
A couple months ago a colleague sent me photos of scrap metal left over from an airstrike. I identified them as JDAM fins from a 2,000-pound bomb, and ended up working on the resulting targeting and law of armed conflict issues for this story

@maxdaniellawton @nyrbclassics Unreadable!? That says more about the article's author than it does about the book.

@Joseph_Fasano_ I came across your poem, "For A Student..." just today. I was so moved, I shared it with my whole writing group--with attribution of course! I am looking forward to reading more. Head high, friend. You've made the world a better place with your work.

Claire's stories always make me say, "wait... what?" in the best possible way. Another banger from @clairehopple
