@EthanMAldridge I’m from NY. I go on the train every week through Manhattan. When people act like we have “gay rights” in the bag- we are still fighting the same battles. We are far from a perfect world. People like this show how hard we still have to fight. It’s very, very sad.

I’m with my partner for 6 years and we have separated bedrooms. We sleep together at night, but still have a space of our own. It’s important for mental health in my opinion. If not your own bedroom, at least a space that isn’t shared all of the time. Fights DO HAPPEN and you’re.

All Artists and Dealers should be automatically provided first dibs on main hotel space. We are working in that space, many of us as our main source of income and we shouldn’t have to lug our stuff 15-20+ min by foot from one hotel to another because of a hotel lottery system not.

Full transparency. I took 40 commissions at FWA weekend. I drew in front of people LIVE at my table. All of them are complete. It is now Monday and I’m a workaholic. When I say I have a fast TAT and I price the way I do, it’s because I can provide for my clients the way I do.

Commissioners NEED to STOP giving so much leniency on how long it takes to complete a piece. Artists responsible should have a realistic timeframe and IF you cannot complete the job, you owe your client updates OR a refund.
