Watching Seattle play Dallas, also makes me take note of the fact Minnesota's defense corps is small and on the slight side. Kraken's defense is bigger, stronger and fairly mobile and certainly making a difference in their own zone.

Somehow, despite the challenges of being a Duluth suburb they find a way to make it to the state tournament. Truly remarkable. A Cinderella story that continues year after year.
Hermantown has done it!
The small, single-school program has found their way to the State Tournament after battling two multi-school programs in a row! What a story! The school graduates 160 kids at a time! Can’t wait to see the boys at the X!!

fans are not even upset. They kind of expected this and fewer and fewer people seem to expect much from this team anymore. We're not happy, we are ambivalent and apathetic, just another disappointment of many.

Duluth East not making it past the Section 7AA quarterfinals for the first time since 1993. Hmm...somehow I am not feeling sorry for them. Finally everyone will have road games. It was a helluva streak, even if the section is still arranged for them to make it most years.

Another casualty of crazy parents. Parents / student athletes are allowed to say whatever they wish true or not and just keep driving great people from the profession. Admins just cut people loose to mitigate bad PR. You are treated as guilty until proven guiltier.

Rossi started out with a lot of good hustle, but it kind of waned as the game went on. He still has a tendency to float and watch the play instead of getting involved. Fogarty has been terrific and Petan is pretty skilled set up man. Wallstedt had a rough night.

Honestly, I am still trying to wrap my mind around Mira Jalosuo going from youth coach to professional level coach in the span of 5 years. Not saying she doesn't deserve it or can't do it. It's just an absolutely incredible rise. Best of luck to her!
