Quite a Mid-Atlantic gradient. Good setup for a southern slider. Got very warm up into Virginia.

Forecast vs Observation. There were plenty of signs it'd go that way especially as it unfolded yesterday. Many pointed out the potential inhibitors several days in advance.

We'll see some wet bulbing as precip moves in tonight yet its a relatively mild night. Onshore flow has humidity values rather high ahead of the system across southern New England.

Significant banding across PA especially in that convective sector. Pulling east. Parent low and warm front continue to push north east until coastal transfer.

High pressure environment. Onshore flow warms yet also saturates thus virga not in the conversation.

Parent low 10mb deeper than the coastal. A link is forming yet the transfer won't occur until late.

Parent low well north. Note warm nose gaining latitude in western PA. Its what to watch. System is defined. 6 hours solid precip, 1 hour broken precip as the jet is punching in for southern areas. An extra couple hours of trailing precip north. It gives ya what it gives ya.

@MattSenior19 8mb deeper than the coastal reflection it needs to xfer to. That eliminates a quick transfer. Also it got so north that warmth will come. Seems rather compact west to east, not many miles. Then, its moving very fast. A familiar theme even if its better than recent wintry events.

You can see the jet streak forcing itself into the system. Note those west to east streaks across Ohio. Storm is born. Both leading & trailing edges well defined. Still enamored with the convective sheared cells. If the system had true coastal support it coulda been interesting.
