there is a huge disparity in high school talent(esp with teams who recruit players) the ability to hold the ball is the friend of the inferior talent. also, who told the favorite they're not allowed to pressure and go get the ball? talent already has huge advantage.. no clock

people don't realize how good the d-2 and d-3 teams are i get asked all the time if so and so can play college fb or hoops more often than not the answer is "no" but doesn't mean the player isn't good
