I think the legendary combat challenges in Rebirth are too difficult But all it needs to be wayyy more managable and approachable is checkpoints imo! Its not the actual fights but putting 10 in a row, which creates a rather unpleasent unstatisfying type of difficulty #FF7R

Yes you will see some parts in a different light But that doesnt mean either is worse, it works well on its own In some ways I think new players could actually enjoy it more because they don't have specific expectations, which can make or break one's experience Be open minded!🫶
