I told them their presenter was unwell, they told me they were aware. I said he is showing signs of a stroke, I am a nurse, he needs an ambulance that is a medical emergency the women said oh right OK thankyou and hung up very quickly. I assumed to get medical help??????? 🚑🧠

I am no longer a stroke nurse I work in intensive care, as I have said there could be a number of reasons for him being unwell, he needed urgent medical assessment but had FAST symptoms

There are many medical reasons for his symptoms, including hypoglycemia, complex migrane etc but if there is FAST symptoms you treat as suspected stroke until seen and reviewed by medical professionals

After a very tough day, one of those shifts where you can't catch a break feeling like you are not getting anywhere this reminded me just why I do what I do. Love my job even on the hard days 🏥🧑⚕️

Absolutely none taken, but after speaking to other experience stroke nurses he was most definitely a positive FAST call, hoping he is receiving the proper care now

From going out as a band 4 and working in Covid, to working in a specialist Acute Stroke unit and now a Critical care nurse in ICU its been an incredible (almost) 2 years. This moment was extra special 💙🧑🎓👨⚕️

A year ago, a student, now 7 months as a registered nurse. Such a hard year and a huge adjustment but so many POSITIVES. We are resilient, adaptable, capable of working under extreme pressure, have achieved a level of teamwork never seen before and given absolutely everything

So holiday started badly but used it as a life lesson for the sprog, life throws curve balls, it's how you deal with them. 3 nights in Wales followed by 2 in a wigwam at gorse bank near Castle Douglas. Its just all part of the adventure 🌄

Shame they didn't take any notice, I now currently work in ICU and could see straight away he needs FAST call, slurred speech, dysphasic, droop to left side, a stroke/TIA is a medical emergency and requires urgent hospital treatment to stop brain damage. 🧠
