When science and art collide! Check out this awesome spin on our mitochondrial dynamics imaging in Arabidopsis hypocotyl cells! Nick is still looking for any live imaging in our favourite model plant- send him your videos for #ICAR2025
To advertise submissions for the #ICAR 2025 movie, I will be posting the coolest Arabidopsis live imaging with an artistic spin. Let's start with these awesome videos of mitochondrial movements by @ChusteckiSci. Thank you for sharing!

@NickDesnoyer We love live images of plant mitochondrial dynamics over here 🙋🏻♀️ happy to contribute videos like this :
Comparing to this theoretical space, we demonstrate that mitochondria are walking a ‘tight-rope’ between being connected (useful for exchanging biomolecules; mtDNA, membranes, metabolites..) and being apart (prevent local mutagen buildup, energy delivery to rest of the cell..) 4/6

Really enjoyed presenting our latest preprint at the meeting of the German plant mito group in Bonn! Some great ideas and discussions 🌱🔬
Excited to see our work out in preprint form! Not all mitochondria carry mtDNA in plants- so we asked: is there a link between dynamics, intermitochondrial connectivity and presence/absence of DNA- and we show- yes! 🤓🌱
