The people don’t have control over their jobs, healthcare, education or government. Riots are the frustrated expression of power by the powerless, destroying a society that largely is not theirs.

Nicotine vape pens are a much safer alternative to cigarettes & have helped many people quit tobacco & prolong their lives. The students sent to the ER after using THC vapes should’ve been sent home because they were suffering from no medical condition other than a panic attack.
Noam Chomsky: "The corona virus crisis might bring people to think about what kind of world we want... There is the possibility that people will organize, become engaged and bring about a much better world."
“Nationalism, religious bigotry & feudal loyalty are far more powerful forces than what is described as sanity. Creatures out of the Dark Ages have come marching into the present, & if they are ghosts, they are at any rate ghosts which need a strong magic to lay them.” -Orwell
The Democrats abandoned the working class by the late 1970s. Handing them over to their class enemy, the Republicans who mobilize them on cultural issues. Republicans are shafting them at every turn but you can mobilize them on abortion, immigrants, guns, anything but real issues

points to the poorest countries when describing socialist societies but fails to mention the prosperous socialist systems of Western Europe. Also, his quote below accurately depicts the current American system. Its laughable and sad.
Most of the US media encourages vigorous debate within a spectrum of acceptable corporate thought. The problem is not competitors to truth, it’s that truth has no representation at all.
@washingtonpost
While the US is deployed in conflicts all around the world, operations which the American public largely knows nothing about, the Washington Post is out here doing deep digging investigative journalism. Bravo!

Anarchism means opposition to structures of authority and domination unless they can justify themselves. I suspect most people believe that. Libertarians in the US are fundamentally calling for rule by unaccountable private tyrannies. I don’t see anything libertarian about that.

focusing exclusively on the irrelevant minutia of impeachment and fake Sanders-Warren beef, ignoring the Democratic primary’s focus on working class issues, typical neoliberal BS.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg: “I’m a blank canvas on which you can project your wildest fantasies. Just don’t expect me to talk about any policy that will actually help you.”
@VICE
Why did I read that entire article? It was so dumb. Trying to appear woke by explaining the social and economic motivations behind an entertainer being booed, the humanity! Its fairly simple: The crowd was not pleased. Please find something, anything else to write about.

@TheDemocrats
How about universal health care? Defunding the American empire? And publicly funded elections and universities? The democrats will continue to flounder as long as corporate shills like

Police should only respond to citizens’ calls for help. They should not be out looking for crime, which results in biased application of the law, disproportionately targeting young, poor minorities.
When will this international tribunal be convicting the last surviving leaders of the Nixon regime of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Cambodia?
The last surviving leaders of the communist Khmer Rouge regime that brutally ruled Cambodia in the 1970s were convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes by an international tribunal.

If dictators were smarter, they would adopt the systems of indoctrination that are employed, often quite consciously, in more democratic societies: let debate rage, but within limits set by fixed presuppositions, which express the basic interests of power.
