I really hope people realize what is at stake come election time. Republicans want this (and worse!) to be the standard nationwide.
I'm thankful to live in a state with a lot of protections, but I won't feel truly safe until all trans people are safe. We all need to fight.
I am sad to report that South Carolina's house has passed a gender affirming care ban for trans youth and also bans medicaid coverage up to the age of 26 (!!!).
They will pursue care care bans at any age.
It now goes to the SC Senate.
A painful day for trans kids in SC.

Finished my first playthrough of Stellar Blade at roughly 60 hours. What a fucking game! And like, now, I can easily say it's one of my favorites. I loved every second of it! Games that click with me like this just don't come often, so it's such a treat to experience this.

I started transitioning in my mid 30's, and what fucks me up the most is just missing what it'd have been like to just *feel* comfortable enough as my true self to actually be able to experience things in my earlier adult years. I am thankful for a lot, but it's still painful.
we really don't have to be comparing transition start dates like that, i promise you i have seen prettier and sweeter girls who started at 30 than those who started at 18. really the biggest reason to transition early is just to live as much of your life as yourself as possible

The inability for game companies to preserve their games is hurting the industry. Most people can't afford to spend the ludicrous prices for 20+ year old games. So don't be upset that people found a way to play a game for less than what you paid. That's your decision.

Hellraiser (2022) is the best of the Hellraisers. Besides the lore and cenobite designs, the previous ones were all pretty bad to mediocre. The reboot actually felt like they were trying to elevate the franchise into something better, and I hope they continue.

Should it matter though? Both are separate works of art, and should be able to be appreciated and discussed for their own contributions.
Plus the film is fairly consistent with Verhoeven's style of filmaking: biting satire mixed with copious violence. He wasn't being that bold.

Finished season 2 of Star Trek: Prodigy and I am just fully blown away by how well this season tied things together. It gives us an ending that marks this whole series as just an all-around fantastic piece of Star Trek media. I loved it!

I'm happy to see "Longlegs" succeed, but damn am I really fuckin sad to see "Furiosa" just get totally let down. George Miller put out a film that felt truly epic, one of the best of the year, and it totally got slept on. Wtf.

Just watched La Llorona (2019).
This is such a beautifully told and directed film. 🥺 I found it more haunting than scary, but to the films benefit as the movie focuses more on the characters and emotional aspect of the story than just scares.
