Baker High School in Baker City Oregon offers a heavy equipment class. It’s difficult to see but students are being trained to operate a bulldozer, an excavator, a skid steer, a backhoe, and a front end loader.

I live in the mountain woods of Eastern Oregon. While I have never seen anything larger than a coyote I always pack my weapon when I’m out on a hike. You never know what or who might be out there. It’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

Ok, this might be a little weird and I apologize for the ugly feet photos but since I started eating a carnivore diet back in September the nail fungus on my big toes have improved significantly. It’s nearly gone on my left toe and about half gone on my right. Makes me happy! 😊

I found these glass containers with bamboo lids and a silicone seal.
Although a bit heavy in the lunch box, they work well.

A problem with having a wood burning stove is that it can be messy. I sweep and vacuum the hearth at least once a week. But the trade off is a cozy, warmth that can’t be beat. 😊

I have been eating a keto then a carnivore diet since July, so I wanted to see how it might have affected my blood pressure. I measured it over three days, first thing in the morning, before coffee. The average is 103/65 with a resting heart rate of 72.

Well, I got the freezer cleaned up and the food put back in. I found some food that needs to be eaten but everything is in good shape. 😊
I just emptied out the freezer so that it can defrost. I bought used more than a decade ago so it's old and not the frost free type.
Once a year during the winter I unload it and put the food outside overnight. Tomorrow morning I will clean it up and put the food back in.

I was on the road today for work. Much of Eastern Oregon is covered in sunflowers. In all my years living out here I have never seen so many. There were sunflowers for as far as I could see. The hills were covered in green and gold.The picture doesn’t do it justice. So beautiful!
