In the last hour this story has gained quiet the following. By and large people are extremely supportive. Americans, and New Yorkers are good and are revolted. A small number of people have advocated violence against the perpetrator, and I must STRONGLY object to that 1/3

Wow! It's not often that I actually know the ppl who are being accused. I know the guy in the picture (and his sons) , he's no extremist, works hard for a living and is well traveled. That plus the fact that she's upset at the flight crew there's likely a lot more to this story.

everyone has their story, & I'm sure she has one too. She certainly needs to face legal consequences, but that gets weighed against her circumstances by a benevolent justice system. We hope that she learns her errors, & we hope and pray that this type of behavior is stopped 2/3

I just spoke to my friend.Turns out when he initially asked her to move so his son could sit in the same row as he & sons friend she was obliging and only changed her attitude when he took off his baseball cap to reveal a yarmulke.

I believe this. My daughter got in top percentile on sat with near 4.0 gpa and was rejected by every top school. She ended up at CUNY, but is now switching to Touro in her jr yr with 3.96 gpa so that she might feel safe while at school.

This is my neighborhood. One of the gentlemen I pray with has changed his morning routine out of fear for his safety. He used to get up at 5am to go to shul, but he's now afraid to and is leaving house later.
This afternoon, in the heart of an Orthodox neighborhood, 3 teenagers (not yeshiva students) happened upon an Orthodox teenager (yeshiva student), yelled "Free Palestine" and pummeled him with eggs.
