As @IEEECDC2024 comes around again, I cannot be more happy to attend. This is definitely my favorite academic conference by far. I get to see tons of friends, the community provides a healthy experience, it is encouraging to students, and thought provoking results.

Great ideas on how to kill any submissions from the global south.
unpopular opinion: ML conferences should charge $100 per submission. For accepted papers this would count towards the registration fee of the attending author, so it's free. Extra funds collected could be used eg. for replication studies or other improvement to the review process
