I saw this movie when I was 23 and thought, “Man, what a lunatic!” I saw it at 33 and thought, “I mean, I guess he might have a point in there somewhere At 43, it became “Well, ok. I kind of get it, now. Today at 53 “I have no problem with anything this man is doing”
Everything wrong with the modern world, a well known shopping centre in Dublin, opened in 1988 is to be torn down and replaced with an awful monstrosity. From this to this...
@HazelAppleyard_
Notice he says, "Beginning to prey for this kind of female" in the last line. Something tells me this "typo" reveals his true character
The absolute state of some people on Twitter today. Blaming the Guards for Tina Satchwell. This isn't CSI, or Law & Order. Try learning how the real world works for the Gardaí. And ultimately, the only person to blame here is Richard Satchwell, who murdered his wife.
I have never seen such vehement hatred towards any Irish politician as I have seen towards Leo Varadkar. While I know it's driven by the Sinn Féin party and their trolls, I can only assume the roots of it are both Xenophobia and Homophobia.
Sinn Féin are blocking free school meals for children over the summer in NI. Why? Because they won't sign off on it unless the DUP includes IRA terrorists in a special "pension" package for victims of the troubles. And this is what some people want in government in The Republic!

@StefanMolyneux
Most join a men's shed or take up a hobby like golf. Some seem to talk at women, telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing.
@Julesk23
My question is rather, who wouldn't allow him to sit and enjoy a lovely steak. Look at him, so quiet and well behaved and just utterly adorable. And I'll bet he's a lot cleaner and more hygienic than many of the people complaining.
Clare Daly, Mick Wallace, Luke Flanagan, Paul Murphy, Richard Boyd Barrett, all of SF should be made live in Venezuela, Cuba, Russia or China. Not as politicos, but as ordinary citizens. See how great those regimes are then. They'll be begging for US intervention before long.
Mary Lou McDonald accuses FF of corruption. Don't recall FF giving a loud cheer to a man who murdered a Garda after robbing a post office. Don't recall FF running protection rackets, robbing banks, atms, post offices, kidnapping and extorting businesses and people.
@jk_rowling
@vampywitchy
I really hope the police/relevant authorities take this seriously, and that he faces real consequences such as substantial prison time.
Richard Boyd Barrett, Paul Murphy TD, Clare Daly, Mick Wallace, all absolute stains on the Irish political landscape. All utterly shameless and I am ashamed of them. Not one of them represents the vast majority of Irish people.
@DerylLynn
And why is a 62 year old man going to Taylor Swift concerts? Isn't that cringeworthy and pathetic. Is it because it's the place to "be seen", or was it an attempt to look, "down wiv the yoof"? And again, free tickets. He is one big grifter.
So many Irish people calling for the Israeli ambassador to be expelled. Yet not one single person called for the Palestinian ambassador Wahba Abdalmajid to be expelled after the events of October 7th 2023. Seems they didn't care about the genocide of Israeli civilians.
Why does anyone ask this man's opinion on anything? He is a GAA pundit and a part time barrister. What expertise does he have on Irish society? Stop giving this waste of space airtime.
@nicolelampert
The only reason I'm not marching with you is because I live in Ireland, but trust me, I'm with you every time you march, in spirit and in solidarity. And I would venture this goes for far more people than the haters would care to believe.
Anyone who feels the need to judge, question, or pontificate on the tragic death of Nora Quoirin, try showing some decency, respect and have a little empathy. Keep your pontification and speculation to yourselves. Instead, think how you would feel if this was your family.
Between Michelle O'Neill last week and Kneecap last night, Patrick Kielty has turned the Late Late Show into an IRA propaganda fest. Time for him to go.
@iseult
A fundraising ad for Amnesty appeared on my FB TL. I blocked it and when asked why, told FB that I will not support an organisation that wishes to deny legitimate representation to any group.

If anyone has the time and skills, we should set up a website that lists all public venues in the UK that have cut back on women only toilets in the effort to force "gender neutral" bathrooms on the public. This way people can check in advance and decide whether to boycott.
#1923
is really stretching my patience thin with the Spencer storyline. I know they are trying to be realistic, but enough with the delays in him getting to Montana already. Rate they're going, it will be episode 8 of season 2 before he gets home.
@KayBurley
Take care Kay, don't let the begrudgers bring you down. You made a mistake, you owned it , end of. Hope you have a very Happy Christmas and that 2021 will be a brighter year for all.
We have the right to be safe on our streets and in our homes, in daylight or darkness. Violence or the fear of it blights the lives of women and girls. It took Ashling's life. Unbearable heartbreak for her family.
#shewasgoingforarun
@HazelAppleyard_
I don't see any hatred here. What I see is a man being financially responsible and a girlfriend who seems to be a financial drain, expecting "nice things" all the time. She needs to wake up to the real world. I don't see her offering to do anything nice for him for Valentine's
@ciarakellydoc
@StefanMolyneux
That's just a crying shame. Just think how immeasureably improved their lives could be, if only they'd just heed these insightful gurus of the "female condition" 😜🤪🤣
As per usual, a scandal involving Sinn Féin is exposed, so what's trending on Twitter? Leo "The Leak" again. Coincidence? Hardly. The trollbots are working hard. Cheap to hire in Serbia I guess.
@mediamurray
@Heagartynan
I feel sorry for the families who couldn't be at the bedside of dying relatives, who couldn't visit loved ones in hospital or nursing homes, who have lost jobs and income, who couldn't attend funerals, who had to cancel weddings. I don't feel sorry for a man who went on a shindig
@atheistathenian
The sheer bullying vindictiveness of these "activists". Hope you get through this and get the full support of all decent, like minded people.
#standingwithyou
@francesweetman
Why do 'their' feelings matter more than women's? Why shouldn't you challenge them if you feel uncomfortable? Why do they get a free pass?
@AnnetteMckay15
Unbelievable. Bet if you call the police and tell them your neighbour has misgendered you, there'll be 5 squad cars around within 5 minutes.
Apparently if you are Irish and stand by Israel, you are now a "West Brit". Well then I'm proud to be called a West Brit. And just to annoy the usual suspects, I'm also a proud partitionist.
The Shinners really do loathe Leo Varadkar. Partly because of his Indian heritage. Also because he is a strong leader who doesn't put up with their lies, criminality and hypocrisy.
So Sinn Féin collect data on voters, partly from the electoral rolls, partly from Facebook, without permission of those whose data they collect. Now if you want to see what data they have on you, you must submit photo ID and a bank statement. Nothing to see here folks!!!!
I'm no fan of the UK royal family, but this is getting ridiculous. What the feck has the Irish famine, which happened almost 200 years ago, got to do with Queen Elizabeth II ? This constant grievance and victimhood nonsense is getting nobody anywhere.
At the passing of Elizabeth 11, I want to remember the 9,000 (approx) men women and children buried in an open grave in my parish. They died at the hands of her great great grandmother, Victoria, the "Famine Queen". Over one million Irish people died in the Famine, pray for them.
What does Hazel Chu know about "responsible journalism" ??? Have you apologised to the teachers in Carlow yet Hazel? Was that your version of "responsible journalism" ??? And no, journalism isn't there to create "unity" whatever that is/means. It's to report facts.
Here we have former Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu saying the quiet part out loud.
She is saying the job of journalists isn't to report the truth, it's to encourage "Unity", tell people what to think and withhold information inconvenient to the state
Mask off moment
Every time Leo Varadkar exposes the hypocrisy and mendacity of Sinn Féin, the hashtag "Leo the liar", or "Leo the leak" trends. Almost as if there were an army of well coordinated, semi literate, ignorant trolls working on behalf of Sinn Féin.
Michael D Higgins has shown himself to be a vindictive, petty and spiteful man, not attributes suited to the Presidency. I hope we get a better calibre of candidate next year.
@Alan__Shatter
would make a great candidate/President. He has the dignity and gravitas needed.
@ColetteColfer
This nonsense of claiming to feel "unsafe" is purely a device to shut down anyone they don't want to speak. How can a simple truthful observation make anyone feel "Unsafe" ??? It can't. And if it does, then I suggest that person needs to learn some resilience.
@robertburke84
This from the same Kitty Holland who claimed to have witnessed a vigilante attack on immigrants, when no such attack ever happened. Was that not her inciting hatred?
@GillianLazarus
@emmacpicken
@BBCPolitics
@bbcnickrobinson
Why do people continue to ask Corbyn for his opinions on anything? The man has been utterly wrong about everything, has been consistently on the wrong side of history and is an Anti-Semitic, misogynistic, terrorist supporting, hardline Marxist, bigot.
So Mary Lou McDonald is demanding the government give an open, transparent apology to the families of Stardust tragedy, making it clear exactly what they are apologising for. The sheer hypocrisy. When will SF do this for all the victims of IRA violence?
So now the government are going to raise the price of alcohol, by up to 60%. Not enough that all other life's pleasures have been stolen. Nanny State, all stick, no carrot.
@AnnetteMckay15
One of the defence lawyers posted the nastiest video, showing herself "dancing" to the Wham song Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, while sneering and smiling. Just odious and disgusting
Who is this "we" You don't speak for me or any other decent person in Ireland. I welcome
@DanaErlich
and am happy with our ties to Israel. Perhaps you could move to Gaza, you might be happier there
Apparently calling out Mary Lou McDonald's hypocrisy is an "attack" and shouldn't be allowed, especially on the weekend before International Women's Day.
@johnmoe
I stood on Ellen Barkin's foot many years ago. It was on a Sunday afternoon in Galway, I was 19 at the time. She was with her then husband Gabriel Byrne. I was walking backwards talking to my brother and next thing I knew my heel connected with someone's foot.
@hookskat
I get sick of these "moral panics" how young people can't read an analogue clock, write cursive, etc. The people who say this, can they light a fire with two sticks? Can they load a musket in under a minute? Can they replace a wagon wheel? Life changes and skills adapt.
The sheer arrogance on display from some people, telling us we should have a "Zero tolerance" approach to non vaccination. None of your business, and I'm stating that as someone who is vaccinated. Vaccinate yourself and stick your nose out of everyone else's business.
Michael D Higgins is an absolute disgrace. He accuses Dana Erlich of a "PR exercise" and denying antisemitism in Ireland and the very real fear the Jewish people are experiencing. No word on his own wife's abuse of her position to tell Ukraine to opt for a ceasefire. Hypocrisy.
All the simps trying to defend Mary Lou McDonald from justifiable criticism for her hypocrisy. She has the gall to tweet condolonces on the death of Ben Dunne. The man her "totally justified" IRA friends kidnapped.
@ItaOKelly
Makes me think of this meme about Ticketmaster It really is about gouging the customer, and they know they have you by the short and curlies.
@il0venostalgia
Honestly, all current chart music/rap/hiphop/R&B/Urban, etc. Nor most of the so called "Indie" which is nothing more than whining guitarists sitting on a stool. Ed Sheeran is another I would cross the road to avoid. Van Morrison, Neil Young, Morrissey and Bob Dylan included.
I don't know who conducts these polls, but Sunday Independent, Michell O'Neill is not a leader in Ireland therfore can't be the most popular one. She's a leader in Northern Ireland, different jurisdiction, and absolutely nothing to do with The Republic.
