More and more countries are waking up to the harms being inflicted on young people by gender ideology, gender affirming medicalisation and gender affirming surgery. Norway is the latest:
It blows my mind that some people actually really genuinely support the idea of males being permitted to compete in the women’s category. If you told me twenty years ago that this would happen in the future, I wouldn’t have believed you.
Sadie (Camden) Schreiner's time in the 200m makes him the 3rd fastest D3 collegiate runner in the nation in the women's category.
For perspective, his time ranks him 1,619th in his rightful category of the men's division.
1619th->3rd. But no yeah men can totally become women!
Some Irish media outlets are incorrectly reporting that transwomen have been banned from rugby by the IRFU. This is incorrect. The new rule states that only people who are born female can play in the women’s category. Please stop the spin that’s pushed by activists.
Can anyone explain to me why a group of women gathering to speak about women’s rights is being branded as hate? I see the hashtag
#noplaceforhate
- about
#LetWomenSpeakBelfast
- but why can’t women gather to peacefully speak? It is not hate to speak about women’s rights
Massive news just in. A woman in the UK - Maya Forstater - who lost her job because of her gender critical beliefs, is to receive over 100k in compensation from the organisation who dumped her. I’ve no doubt it’s just a matter of time before similar cases happen in Ireland.
I have received the "remedy" judgement in my case.
@cgdev
has been ordered to pay over £100k in compensation for loss of earnings, injury to feelings and aggravated damages for their high-handed conduct.
Thank-you to everyone who supported my case
Seeing one of Ireland’s greatest sporting heroes - Barry McGuigan
@ClonesCyclone
- standing up for women and women’s sports and for common sense, fairness and safety, and I cannot help but think how quickly this stuff would be dealt with if everyone just said it:
It’s completely unfair to allow men who have transitioned to compete against women in ANY Sport which involves a competition of physical strenght and endurance.
The most chilling thing about the mob who chanted in unison, hundreds of voices, with hatred directed at women who had gathered to peacefully speak - calling us Nazi scum’ - is that they are largely from government funded organisations. State sponsored.

Graham Linehan’s

album is in at no. 2. Both Irish!! Things have been particularly stifling here in Ireland. There is a lot of fear. Tomorrow we have the first ever

event. Time for bravery
The funniest thing about transactivists raging at Richard Ayoade is that now their intimidation racket is crumbling they're going to spend the next few years realising they'd only bought temporary silence by creating fear.
It is becoming increasingly common that I meet people who openly tell me that they don't agree with me on gender issues. I'm always curious about this and try to understand their position. I ask if they agree with the medicalisation of children with puberty blockers and cross sex
My article 'A New Religion': I explore parallels between gender identity theory and religions and argue that as a phenomenologist of religion it is difficult to study the theory because of the compulsion to believe. Thank you

This, to my knowledge, is the first situation of its kind in

The front page of Ireland’s largest selling newspaper today. And to their shame,
@rte
ignored the story on their Sunday morning talk show on which the main topics of the Sunday papers are generally discussed. Playing into the hands of lobby groups. Kowtowing. Silenced. Scared?
I used to think that when people like JK Rowling/Bill Maher/Ricky Gervais, spoke up that people would finally see what’s happening. But now I realise it doesn’t work like that. People dig trenches deeper, pull the helmet tighter, wear darker glasses, don’t want to (or can’t) see
@Chris_Noone_
The problem of course is that many of those providing gender healthcare are ideologists. The Cass Report was an independent review. This independence was required. You really are clutching at straws in your attempt to discredit what is a fair, balanced and comprehensive report.
If I receive clarification from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, Youth that the law is being correctly interpreted, I will re-consider my refusal. I note that
@dcediy
use the Progress Pride flag as their Twitter profile pic.
If you want to find out where the push for hate crime legislation in Ireland is coming from, I recommend a search through the lobbying register.
The following groups have all lobbied for hate speech legislation: TENI, BeLonG To, LGBT Support and Advocacy Network Ireland,
I have received a response from
@RTE
following my FOI request and can now confirm that training sessions have been carried out at Ireland's national state broadcaster by both ShoutOut and BeLong To - both of which deliver workshops that promote gender identity theory.
Anyone aware of the history of the 20th century will know the power of propaganda. Kellie-Jay Keen is a women’s rights activist. This is being spun to portray her as a a far-right fascist sympathiser. Women WILL gather in Dublin on September 16th.

THREAD with all my gender articles:
Background - I attended a ‘diversity inclusion’ style workshop in my workplace last May (2021). A colleague asked me afterwards ‘what did you think of that?’ I replied ‘indoctrination’. I set about trying to find out what was going on. (1/12)
The mystery of 2022 that I would love to solve… this article was accepted by the
@IrishTimes
and I was told it was ‘filed’ & would be published Monday 25th April. It never appeared. Someone (a deputy editor?) pulled it. I was never told who or why.
For the last few weeks I've been researching gender identity theory as religion. My first article on this - with a focus on Ireland in particular - is coming out tomorrow. I'm working on a longer-read piece at the moment and hoping to find a home for that soon.
Brilliant start to

Motherhood is not gender-neutral
I do not have a gender identity. I accept that many people do and that it’s important for those who have one. I simply am a woman. This is a fact, not an identity. And despite calls for people like me to be silenced, I do, thankfully, have a vote.
@griptmedia
Anyone who says "not everyone has a gender identity" doesn't deserve credance or recognition in a debate on constitutional references to women or mothers. That's unless, and I doubt it, she recognises the validity of people identifying as non-gendered.
@EmerTheScreamer
@jk_rowling
The gender binary of male and female is global and has existed as long as humans have existed. It exists regardless if whether this binary is acknowledged or not. Otherwise there would have been no reproduction. Male and female. No third gamete. Projection anyone?
Talk about the ‘far right’ is relentless in Ireland these days. What do we know about the ‘far right’? We know they are the baddies. Evil people…. And… Then we realise that if we think sex is binary and immutable, that we too are cast under the umbrella of the ‘far right’
Couldn’t sleep. Leaving soon for
#LetWomenSpeakDublin
Lots of people, politicians, organisations, are trying to tar women gathering as ‘far-right’. I am about as far-right as the earth’s deep core [i.e. not at all]. Listen to the women on the livestream. Make up your own minds.
This is a major crack in the veneer of gender ideology in Ireland. Our Taoiseach (Prime Minister) has just said that laws may have to be changed to ensure that women are protected.
There was a historic event in Dublin on Saturday when around 60 women from across age groups, social classes, political divides, from north, south, east, west, hills, towns, villages & valleys of Ireland gathered and broke bread together to honour fellow Irishwoman Helen Joyce
@newschambers
This is the moment when Irish people realise the depth of the capture of the Irish government by lobby groups pushing gender identity theory. I hope our Tanaiste is also advocating for the IRFU to listen to sports specialists & medical experts and to women
@LeoVaradkar
I went to Pakistan on my own as a journalist - back in 2006. I was fearless. I was in Jerusalem in 2012 and met Israeli Jews and also went into neighbourhoods to meet Palestinian Muslims & Christians. I’m more nervous about tomorrow than either of those trips

The very public demands in Ireland to boycott the Eurovision seemed to be from a majority & yet the Irish public gave its second highest vote to Israel. It’s like the gender-referendum. A very vocal minority at surface level & and assumption that they are the majority.
I dunno. It’s just so mainstream in Ireland. Blocking all women who know sex is binary and immutable?

Activists are out in force today trying to denounce everyone who spoke and who attended the wonderful and sold-out

@NWCI
If you define woman as an identity trans women are women. If you see womanhood as linked to biology then transwomen are not women. All people deserve the same human rights. Males competing in women’s sports is unfair and unsafe. It seems you see womanhood as an identity?

The so called ‘Citizens’ Assembly on Gender Equality’ is part of the problem. They recommended the referendums. They recommended deletion of Article 41.2 & replacing it with gender-neutral language that would have deleted acknowledgement of women and mothers.
#Referendum2024
We are approaching clarification. If such a situation cannot be imagined by our Taoiseach, I suggest it may be because it is not unlawful to refuse to use pronouns? I welcome this comment by Leo Varadkar either way.
@RTEsport
The winner was a man. He beat an Irish woman in the final of a women’s competition. This is unfair. Unfair that a male was allowed to compete, that a woman who has dedicated years in training has lost out on a major win, and unfair that you don’t report it properly.
@eoinmauricedaly
Hi Eoin, did you read the article? I have explicitly stated that I’ve no problem using preferred pronouns or names. Do you think it should constitute ‘unlawful discrimination or harassment’ if a staff member or student does refuse to use them?
@dcediy
can answer hopefully.
My question for RTE is this - how can our national state broadcaster maintain an impartial stance on issues relating to gender identity when training is being given to staff that encourages a particular way of thinking about it? Has the impartiality of RTE been compromised?
Those of us who question gender ideology are often framed as ‘far right’. But - in economic and individualistic terms - gender ideology is far right. Gender expression, medicalisation, surgery - all fuel huge profits for fashion, pharma, cosmetics.
This man is a lecturer. He has misrepresented my points and on the basis of this misrepresentation has hundreds of people 'liking' his tweet that portrays me - and my views - unfairly. 'Ridiculous' he says. Indeed.
Yesterday was bleak. Protests in libraries. Clamourings of more conflict likely to come. Old acquaintances have unfollowed me - a form of being disowned, excommunicated, ostracised. People I’ve known in ‘real life’ for over 20 years. The herem is invoked. I have blasphemed.
@hazechu
What constitutes ‘anti-trans’? The phrase is often just used to besmirch the name of anyone who asks questions or raises concerns or doesn’t think gender identity should take precedence over biology. Why should a Green Party councillor get to dictate who any library can follow?

The National Women's Council of Ireland has fallen. It uses the word 'woman' to refer to men and calls women 'people with a womb'. They are certainly not advocates for people with wombs, i.e. women. Women's rights are human rights. Glad we have

This is an explicit acknowledgement that a GRC does not mean a man becomes a woman. It is a legal fiction with serious implications for women’s safety, sports, and single sex spaces.

BREAKING NEWS IRELAND: Trans identified male Barbie Kardashian has been transferred to a male prison.
Kardashian, currently serving time for making threats to rape and murder his mother, had recently threatened to rape female prison officers.
The word fascist is being thrown around these days like confetti. Fascists believe in the brutal suppression of those who do not share their ideas. They believe all opposition should be gotten rid of by any means possible including by violence. Watch the videos of Auckland.
It is not far-right or transphobic for women to want women-only sports, women-only prisons, single-sex spaces. It is not far-right or transphobic to want children with gender dysphoria to be treated in line with best medical practice rather than according to ideological demands.
Trans and Intersex Pride is taking place in Dublin on Saturday. I wholeheartedly support this event, in particular the clear acknowledgement that there is a difference between gender identity and sexual orientation. I look forward to celebrating LGB Pride when it is organised. 🏳️🌈

The Hate Speech legislation, if pushed through, will sink the party. NGOs and lobby groups pushing it are rooted in gender ideology. The majority of people won't and don't buy it.
And I would much rather be just writing poetry than stuck in this discussion about gender identity. But I feel it is my obligation to speak up. Too many people are afraid. It’s not good that so many are afraid for their careers and friendships for saying people can’t change sex
At this point I’m wondering when, if ever, Ireland will shout ‘stop!!!’ Males in women’s prison, children allowed to ‘change’ gender, census forms not accounting for males and females, children sent to Tavistock despite warnings, men in women’s

Ireland. Dublin. 2023. Women are unable to meet because such a strong Garda presence is required. Women want to speak about women’s rights, about the importance for women of single-sex spaces, sports and prisons, about the impact of gender identity on their lives.

Belfast will go ahead as expected on Sunday, 16th April, and we can't wait.
Due to lack of garda resources and the Biden visit, we've had to cancel Dublin.....for now, we'll keep you updated on the new, later in the year Dublin date.

I've gone silent and going silenter (?!). Gender ideology is coming at Ireland now like a tidal wave and the surge is about to hit. It is unstoppable. I think we have to let it happen. Sadly (and I truly hope I am wrong), many children and adolescents will be damaged.
And finally, obviously I'm aware of the risks of speaking up and what may lie ahead for me. I object to this policy in good faith and with sincere concerns for the health and wellbeing of all staff and students including in terms of single-sex spaces, sports, academic freedom.
I really want to curse now. RTE to be hauled before the government because they dared to allow women discuss women

I used to have a favourite bookshop. I brought out my little poetry booklet, they took six copies & said that if they received even one complaint they'd have to take them down. They put the booklet on the highest unreachable shelf, spine out so its title was invisible. The end.

At what point do governments and international organisations realise things have gone too far and when that does happen, will it be too late? This manic mob around a female swimmer. Why? Because she knows, and says, men should not be competing in women’s sports.
@LadiesFootball
The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU...I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. This is proof that women need sex-protected spaces.
Still only further assures me I'm doing something right. When they want you silent, speak louder. 🗣️
A Dublin City record store is being targeted for apparently ‘liking transphobic tweets’. I don’t know what tweets they liked but could it be ‘biology matters’ or maybe ‘let women speak’? The record store have made the error of apologising.

Pushing gender ideology in Ireland, suppressing open debate, tacking sexual orientation to gender identity, medicalisation of gender conformity, legislation against hate. I predict that all of these things will lead to a more fractured society, & more, not less ‘hate’.

is speaking on
@RTE_PrimeTime
tonight and the programme is covering trans health care. 21.35 tonight on
@rte
The last time Prime Time covered this topic was almost FOUR YEARS AGO (& resulted in a protest):
This was a genuine attempt to engage someone in conversation. Someone who thinks I’m a ‘baddie’ and that I want to wipe people out of existence (which I don’t). I asked why he/him thinks I want to wipe people out…
They chant on hundreds ‘off our streets Nazi scum’. This is their chant against women gathered to speak.

@IrishRugby
Well done IRFU. Safety and fairness in sport are rightly the top priorities. Thank you for protecting women and for keeping women’s rugby inclusive for women.
A few years ago I was runner up in the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award. I was granted funding for publication of a small booklet. But, I wanted to call it

When a prominent Irish journalist has the Progress Pride flag as their Twitter profile pic (and Pride month is over) and when that flag signals uncritical adoption of gender ideology, what do you think the chances are of that journalist ever covering gender issues fairly?
Instead of logging out for days… I’m aiming for an X a day. Today I want to pubicly thank the 3 Irish people who have done the most to publicly highlight the dangers of gender ideology:

Can

provide assurance that they will allow space on our national airwaves for people who do not subscribe to gender identity theory? For people who believe the word woman should be retained in our legislation? For people who do not believe people can change sex?
I wrote a piece in verse called 'Woman' and now I am being called a TERF and transphobic and 'garbage' and 'trash'. To discuss what it means to be a woman now carries this risk. I knew the risk. I did it anyways. And so.
The first boxes opened in Waterford this morning - I knew almost immediately. I was standing behind the people who were counting and I kept saying out loud 'oh my god oh my god'. It was unreal. I was shaking as I realised the enormity of what was happening.
I cannot even begin to express how much respect and admiration I have for the women - and men - gathering for the

When an Irish organisation dedicated to promoting the role of women in STEM cancels a book by a woman about women because the book is about women... well I think that’s a bit mad and a good sign of the times we is are at.
Everyone is expected to subscribe to gender ideology and yet the only people officially allowed to speak about the ideology are the ideologists themselves, the true believers, those who have a gender identity that does not align with their biological sex. But all must believe?
It’s quite strange to say that it’s good news that the word woman is being retained in maternity legislation. But it’s 2022 and this is where we are at. Remember that the

The Cass Review calls for better treatment for children with gender dysphoria. The lack of evidence coupled with a toxic vitriolic environment has resulted in young people being let down. The Review stressed the need for evidence-based care. I hope you support that.
