Friendly neighborhood carnivore learning that all the nutrition information I grew up with is a big fat lie!

Some days are just this way. 🤷♀️
So I really thought I was going to eat more today but I just haven’t had much of an appetite. I had a fatty coffee this morning after being up at 3:00 with a sick kiddo. I ate 3 small chicken thighs around 1:00 and haven’t been hungry since. Forgot to take a pic of my fatty coffee. #Carnivore #CarnivoreDiet #Keto #KetoDiet

@jaybelight123 Thank you for that insight. I include the New Testament in my faith and through that I have been taught that all foods are clean. According to my faith I am eating what God intended for me to eat.

I get a big pot and put it on med heat with ghee (or butter but you have to watch that you don’t burn the butter) then I break up the pork rinds into smaller bite size pieces and toss them into the hot ghee. Stir to get them coated and just keep gently stirring them until they are a nice golden brown color. Then you can add seasonings if you want and remove from heat. When they cool they’ll be even crispier, more like a puffy crispness is that makes sense. You’ll need about a tbsp of ghee per 2 oz of pork rinds.

@RebeccaKalyani Thank you so much Rebecca! I’m getting them on YouTube, slowly but surely! One week at a time!

@heal_this_1 Thank you! I like to render my own from suet I buy from the butcher but there is one I do buy. The only thing I don’t like is its in plastic. I’d rather it be glass, but this one has been my fav as far as taste and texture. (Affiliate link)

@ilovefourloko Nice! It’s good to find diversity within restriction. I find that the fewer things at my disposal the more creative I get with my cooking.
