This. My son is 17 and has his first serious gf.
I want her to feel like part of the family.
It does sometimes sting a little when he’s too busy to spend time with me but tough. I raised my sons to be adults and adults have social lives outside of mommy.

“Spoiling” a baby is excellent parenting.
You have to be able to rein it in once they hit toddler age which is even more artful parenting.
Babies need constant love and attention. Toddlers don’t need every toy they demand.

I don’t have diabetes but I did have severe gestational diabetes and was up to around 50 units of insulin daily.
The placenta was out of my body and *boom* my pancreas worked again.

I’m a huge proponent of attachment parenting. When it comes to love/comfort, parents should always provide what is needed.
That doesn’t extend to toys or poor behavior.
You can stop them from running around a restaurant while comforting them when they are upset about it.
