Attempting to leave the world in a better place than I found it
It’s been a tough winter in SK. But can you imagine these conditions 75-100 years ago? Rural life was no cup of tea before power, fwa/4x4 tractors, snowblowers, good grid roads, etc. Those that homesteaded were a very resilient and tough lot.
Ran into a farmer I know who was bragging how many acres he had in. Was trying to put me down. It’s not a contest nor does one gain any respect by doing so.
Thanks
@QuickDickMcDick
for performing to a sold out crowd. The only complaint I heard was sore cheeks & tummy from laughing too much. Excellent fundraiser. Thanks for being so generous with your time. Good time had by all.🤠🍻
$564 in Carbon Tax per month to run a not for profit assisted living home for 12 people. High efficiency boilers already installed. LED lights installed. Can we not get a rebate? 😡
“Being cheap costs you $” growing up the older generation didn’t quite understand this. The time wasted attempting to fix equipment with sub par parts, used tires, etc. Good thing I worked for free. Am I alone?
In SK they predicted 3000-8000 COVID deaths. We are currently at 24. SK has done well through the efforts of our health professionals and citizens. Some still have their hair on fire...lets protect the vulnerable but not destroy our future.
Last pass Harvest 24. Truck Driver off to Saskatchatoon for 3rd Agronomy. Actually had to haul a few bushels this year. Used some bins that sat empty previous 3 years.
Thanks for all the calls, texts, pms and visits. The outpouring of well wishes and concern is very heartwarming. But getting a call from
@QuickDickMcDick
telling jokes and making me laugh is cruel! It hurts to laugh! And yes laughter is still the best medicine. 🤠
What are everyone’s thoughts on 3 provinces pursuing nuclear power to reduce carbon emissions? With Saskatchewan having Uranium resources this is definitely a positive.
A lot of people, even farmers themselves, think that farming and the land is the same everywhere. A lot can change in 50kms. Elevation, soil texture, temperature, precipitation, etc. 1 good thing about being U of S Agro was meeting students from all over. Ag is diverse.
Had a chat with a buddy last night. He brought up investors owning land and the taxes they pay. They don’t volunteer for RM council, they don’t volunteer to fight fire, they don’t volunteer for crime watch, he suggested they shouldn’t be eligible for early tax discounts. Thoughts

Friggstad, Honey, Haukaas, Wildfong, etc. SK farm families that have innovated and made a measurable impact on agriculture. It’s not easy to do so. Rural SK is resilient and innovative don’t discount our ability to adapt.
Very proud of my kids. All 3 made honour roll. My son in Gr12 won 2 academic awards, 3 athletic awards and a scholarship. Definitely did a lot better than his old man. Colour Night at GLS made a lot of parents proud.
Anyone else have anxiety that they didn’t get enough “fall” work done since winter has arrived? I’m one. Optimistic for next year but also apprehensive.
If anyone calls into question the sincerity of
@QuickDickMcDick
they can talk to me first. Genuine Sasky through and through. You’d never find a more generous person. Thanks for the visit. 🤠
Had to go pull out a couple kids “hunting coyotes” with no shovel or arctic gear yesterday. Driving down a bladed trail that’s drifted in isn’t very bright doing it with just a bunny hug, sneakers and no gloves is just stupid…
My son is helping seed this year after his 1st year at U of S. I remember how I was treated. Definitely trying to make positive changes. One can manufacture their own stress. We’ll make some positive memories hopefully.
We are on our own out here. RCMP called at 4:30. They were called again and didn’t show up until 8:30am. It might come to reopening the Verlo Train Station. Please keep an eye out for a orange and white Chevy truck with a service body.

If Canada had some leadership PMJT would have had a meeting with Chris and Tamara. I’m sure someone could lend him a Trukker hat for the occasion. 🍻
Local business pays $4800/month in Carbon tax. They have had to cut their large donation budget to remain profitable. Will those $ come back to small town SK? Nope why can’t we keep our $ here? Bye bye Trudeau it’s time to go!
East Block Grasslands National Park hidden gem in S SK. Quiet and breathtaking. Native prairie is far more beautiful than any forest. Put a lot of kms on our bikes. Should bring my horse next time.
It’s great when respectful and responsible outdoorsmen harvest wildlife. I’m sure this pronghorn taken in the Rock Garden will provide fond memories and help fill your freezer.

To all RM councillors, reeves and administrators off to SARM convention: Absentee landowners should pay more tax. They don’t volunteer on council or help fight fire etc. Many aren’t happy with the free lunch these folks get…
The cost to ship our grain has increased from $38/t to >$60/t to Vancouver. Efficiency of shipping has increased at the same time. A good portion of this increase is Carbon tax….
So both my hockey playing kiddos are done for the season and one is done minor hockey forever. After missing last season it was great to make some memories and learn a few valuable lessons along the way.
Edison Motors applied for a $1.5 million EV grant. M N P suggested they hire them to fill out the application for $4-500,000. Oh BTW M N P picks whom receives said grants…Edison did not get one. Foreign company received $55 million grant. And that folks is 💩
The wealth reallocation scam ie the carbon tax continues to remove the freedom of choice of where we get to spend our money. Time for an equal and elected senate….
An unusual Friday upload about

Will this
#CarbonTax
carve-out make Canadians groceries cheaper? No. It will allow farmers to be competitive
For cheaper groceries, the whole thing needs to be scrapped
