Itโs clear as day that the Diefenbaker Irrigation Project is a bad deal for #Saskatchewan taxpayers. Over $2 billion in costs for the WIRP at a total best-case tax return of under $600 million is an egregious loss. But itโs also a bad deal for #Sask producers. #skpoli ๐งต

@jonovision_man The market canโt build west where it had planned to, re: moratorium. If you accept that even with deregulation the market wouldnโt build west, then what youโre accepting is that it wonโt build any new pipe. Which again leads to the conclusion that government would have to pay.

@jonovision_man If youโre wanting to make that point, and you accept the need to deregulate, the market builds west where thereโs demand not east where demand is being met.

Growing the Heritage Fund is a laudable goal, but itโs safe to say that the dream of a Norwegian-like Sovereign Wealth Fund for Alberta is dead. This plan will mean that Alberta still relies on resource revenues by 2050, even assuming revenues grow faster than expenses. #abpoli
Premier @ABDanielleSmith has shown the vision and given a strong new mandate to grow the Heritage Fund to $250 billion by 2050. What does that mean for Albertans? It means that future generations can prosper and fund services without relying on oil revenue.

@Prominent_Bryan Thereโs also no donation limits in Saskatchewan so your political parties have a much stronger incentive to listen to what businesses want. In general, might not be the greatest thing for our politics, but in this rare particular case itโs a good thing.
