The imposition of U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods is not merely an attack on trade — it is an attack on the jobs, livelihoods, and sovereignty of the Canadian and Saskatchewan people. This assault on our economy cannot go unanswered, and it is imperative that we stand united to protect our communities, our workers and their livelihoods. As such, today, several of my colleagues and I wrote to Premier Scott Moe to demand that we cease ordering liquor, beer and wine from the United States and that we enact a Canada-first procurement policy.
