Agree 100% with Danny. This is why addiction treatment is one of my top priorities as we head into budget season. Stay tuned.

We have to ensure Seattle is a safe place that fully guarantees these rights and can handle the influx of people coming to Seattle from states that will immediately outlaw abortion. I look forward to working with my Council colleagues to do just that.

Nine of the ten Seattle Film Commission appointees came to Council Chambers for the committee vote on their confirmation today. Spoiler alert: it was unanimous — CONGRATULATIONS! #SeattleFilmCommission @SeattleEconomy

Not gonna lie, being a Councilmember has its perks sometimes. My staff and I got to feed a couple Humboldt penguins on a visit to @woodlandparkzoo & learned about the critical conservation work w/ zoo’s partner, Humboldt Penguin Conservation in Punta San Juan, Peru!

My staff and I attended a walking tour of the Vigor Shipyards on Harbor Island. Not only is it a cool experience to be able to get up close to these giant ships out of the water, but they host a workforce training on site.

On April 30th, 1975 Saigon fell, ending the Vietnam War. I attended a solemn 47th Commemoration of April the Thirtieth at the Vietnamese Cultural Center today. It was an honor to share space with members of our Vietnamese community and veterans who fought in the war.
