Yesterday, Council voted 6-3 to make possession and public use of illegal drugs a gross misdemeanor. It’s not a perfect bill but it’s been a long six months, and I’m glad we’re finally moving forward!

On April 30th, 1975 Saigon fell, ending the Vietnam War. I attended a solemn 47th Commemoration of April the Thirtieth at the Vietnamese Cultural Center today. It was an honor to share space with members of our Vietnamese community and veterans who fought in the war.
