@kab604 @rockcreekfreak @hallen_a @pembridge_cap This is Swedens largest retail broker, Avanza, displaying no of owners of Ipco stock on the right. ”Tourists and locals” have sold YTD and 1year. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@rockcreekfreak @kab604 But…one could argue that 0.33% insider ownership for $MEG.TO vs 33%+ for $IPCO has something to do with confidence😏

@crudechronicle Some timely views from North. But also I’m kind of surprised that so little MrMarket care if Buybacks are real or just called buybacks to ”cloud” the real effect of compensation trough SBC. Per share growth/cashflow/capex is the only thing real imo.

Are energy companies "walking the talk" and buying back their shares? Yes, and here is the proof: in 2024 CDN energy co's bought back $16.5BN of stock ($52BN since 2022) and have since 2022 on average retired 9% of their shares outstanding. With the sector only recently returning most/all of FCF back via buybacks, we see many companies able to retire a further 10% of their S/O in 2025...rinse and repeat until valuations ultimately re-rate.

@ericnuttall To bad $IPCO is not part of your investment universe, they would have been at the no4 spot according to Perplexity.
