I believe this game was done so dirty with no DLC and added more unanswered questions that Houses had brought, but it has its pluses.

This game has MANY, MANY problems, and this is coming from a Three Houses fan. But this is a genuinely great AND flawed game, people seriously need to stop focusing on just the bad stuff, and understand there's also good things about it, just because it's popular and liked more.

The character cast is the best in the franchise, world building is still exceptional, and story ideas while not delivered well, they were great on paper.
And of course, it does NOT deserve the forced hate and "discourse" from the fanbase.

Honestly the fact that Byleth and the house leaders ONLY has a unique attack in Engage is hype.
Not only it was sick as hell to see these guys work together FOR ONCE but it's definitely a nice callback to their dialogue at the Somniel and 3H.
My 3H bias is out, but it was HYPE.

This isn't me bashing Engage, I love both games. But as a personal preference:
Three Houses excels at everything else that Engage doesn't reach. Characters, world-building, concepts, themes of war, and its different approach of the franchise. I prefer those than just nostalgia.

But at this point, trying to hype it up by downgrading Engage is just not cool. It's very easy to like both, or dislike one of them in a more constructive way. Because this tug of war situation is beyond tiring.
