My doctor said, "Cornelius, you need to express your skepticism more often." So, he prescribed extra strength cynicism.

@thomashawk @DanielLurie This is nothing more than a safe injection site. Is Gary McCoy advising Lurie?

@SusanDReynolds @MaxMCO The illogical take from MCO and Fielder is astounding. The chase is responsible? The policy is responsible? God have mercy on the two thieves. Poor souls.

I wonder if the quick re upping of DKI money is a trade off for the Safeway closure?
Tired yet? Not too late for Self Help for the Elderly to offer firearms and gun safety classes. #LawOfTheStreets

Another one of Shambizzle's constituents. Any guesses on why D10 hasn't changed?
BayviewActivities: An elder Asian man was mugged at 3rd & Newcomb in Bayview, but a brave woman stepped in to defend him—turning what could have been a robbery into a failed attempt. Stay alert and look out for one another. @activeasian

Rebranding is just another shuffle in 3 card monte. Same DKI, new name. Same problem laden grift, new name. Any bets on how soon Susan Dyer Reynolds will be on the trail of the next round of malfeasance?
Historically, #SF's Chinese community has long paid for protection or social peace. The question this century: What’s the ROI? Does it at least spark a tough convo about political leaders calling out the criminal subminority often preying on our elders?

The problem with Lurie is that he is approaching and treating SF's issues as though there is a middle ground between enforcement of standards versus Breed's laissez faire policies.
A very dangerous city. No traffic cops, no foot patrols, no transit police - result lawlessness, violence and intoxicated drivers everywhere. Goddam scooters and dashers flying on sidewalk for years - distracted on their phones. Dangerous violent criminals with multiple arrests running free unafraid. City employees just standby and watch the shit show. Do you comprehend the fundamental concept of prevention? A few yeses ago the incompetent (and not respected by officer) chief was ask about prevention and he looked like deer in headlights - very telling. Safe, clean streets and transit with cops nearby ready to react at moments notice, and warning people like off bad behavior - like sidewalk riding - economic activity magically reappears. No violation is minor - we have laws to protect us and mayor to enforce them. Can the chief and get out of your office and go start giving orders tonight like a real leader. You are gonna get embarrassed nationally if market and mission are not in order before NBA event. One bad incident an SF is finished. Everyone watching and elected officials acting like it’s just perception - it’s not normal. When they criticize SF they are taking about leadership not capable of solving easy problems and cop haters. That your perception problem - look in the mirror! You went from tough angry TV ads to whimp really fast. If that’s how you want to go down?

@cathshiang @henrykleeKTVU @SFPD @TheNapperTandy @SFFDPIO @sfgov @JackieFielder_ @KTVU We are blessed that Boudini is no longer around to provide cheap rationalizations and "prosecutorial" cover for criminal behavior.

Along with "service resistance" comes "corporal autonomy," where the addict is granted full rights to behave as he pleases. His addiction overrides any accountability to himself and society. It's false, of course, as it is based on the bogus premise that the addict will choose to get clean. Likewise, an addict will supposedly leave the streets and choose housing, which he won't destroy while in the throes of his madness. This is the argle-bargle of harm reduction and housing first.

I read the story before heading out to do some chores. All along Balboa the curbside bins were inspected and thrashed by the druggies/homeless who migrate between GG Park and Lincoln Park, and elsewhere on the avenues. At the Muni terminal at the beach, Fire and EMT were responding to a situation. I could have sworn a corpse was being hauled off. All of this brought me back to the basic question: How many people are living in the park, whether in the bushes or vehicles?
As always, the details of bureaucratic dysfunction in SFgov's multi-billion dollar efforts are damning. Just how many parallel teams, task forces, field offices, and subgroups can one city create? And how many multi-year vehicular encampments are permitted in Central Park?
