Was on a Bollywood set in Snowdonia few years back with a few local Welsh Indians and Pakistanis they were conversations in Welsh/Urdu/Hindi and English and it felt the most natural thing, some monoglots have a lost of personal issues.

Welsh was one of 55 languages chosen by NASA and used on their 1977 Voyager Program. The Voyager Golden Record included the Welsh greeting “Iechyd da i chwi yn awr ac yn oesoedd” (“Good health to you now and forever”).

Elizabeth 1st in the 16th century(Of Welsh Tudor's ancestry) funded the translation of the Bible to Welsh (as long your loyal to my church though) while the Catholic church oppressed the Irish language.
