I lead the RSPB'S Investigations team and have now contacted Douglas Robertson (Kent Police wildlife crime co-ordinator). Scaffolding needs to immediately come down to allow birds access to their nests, the chicks will be fledged and gone in days, and the issue is then resolved.

First caught this Sedge Warbler at Buckton on 15/8 - it was wearing a ring from another site, weighed 10.7g. I have surprisingly retrapped it this evening (no sign of it for the past 3 sessions here) and it now weighs 18.6g! It's body is like a barrel - full of fat for migration!
