No one knows the work we do behind Prison walls. We change lives. We save lives. We work with societies most dangerous individuals. Yesterday 3 of my colleagues were assaulted. One quite badly. There will be no press coverage of this. I work with heroes.
My beautiful, brave Bella has gone to sleep for the last time. She was an amazing and loving companion. 06/06/07 to 06/07/23. Until we meet again my Baby Girl 😪😪😪 xxxxxx
@PC_Reed
Than you Phil for what you do. You give us a small insight into your life in the mounted section.
Enjoy your leave, you’ve more than earned it.
Afternoon all. Great news as I’ve finally received compensation for being assaulted at work 3 years ago. For being kicked in the penis and testicles I have a cheque for £14-45. The drinks are on me 😂😂
Afternoon all. I’ve received the result of a court case wear I was the victim.
He pleaded guilty to Assault by Beating of an Emergency Worker.
He was given 8 weeks imprisonment consecutive to his current sentence and £100 compensation due on release.
Afternoon ball bags. A quick update since I was assaulted on duty.
I’m still off sick.
My head still hurts.
My carpet burn is scabby.
My left thumb is still fucked.
Upped my nutcase meds as I’ve been struggling lately.
@omid9
Omid , whether this was meant as a joke it has failed. I have plenty of mates serving or retired from the police who now have PTSD due to the job. I work in the CJS and 100% of us will suffer from PTSD. An apology would be a good gesture.
Morning all. Rest Day for me.
One of our CM”s retired yesterday after 30 years service. Prior to that he was in the army. No fanfare , no thanks from the SLT. I am disgusted and yet sadly not surprised.
I’m heartbroken to say that my Grumpy Old Man crossed peacefully OTRB this morning in my arms. Run free and go play with Benji, Geordi and Susie.
Until we meet again my Bobby Milner 06/06/2007 - 16/09/2022 XXXXX
Morning all. Late start for me today as I had to stay over at work last night. It’s my 20 year anniversary of being a Prison Officer. I really don’t know where the time has gone.
@Herne_TheHunter
I’m 55 very serious job. Worn contact lens for years. Last year put them in and thought my eyesight had suddenly got worse. Carried on line for days until I realised put them in the wrong eyes!!
In my quite lengthy career as a Prison Officer I can state the following:-
1. I don’t want to “check your file”. To see how tough you are. Try looking at mine, that would scare you!
2. If my “clients” were that successful then they wouldn’t get caught all of the time.

Evening all. Had an email at work today about inscription for my Long Service Medal. Four of us qualify for it at my establishment. That’s a high number in a year . Not many see it through this long
Amongst the tragedy unfolding in Croydon today it was so uplifting to see
@VinnieRpd
on TV. Living life and loving life. Dogs really do show us how to embrace life to the full
Morning all. Shift 6/6 for me today. Like the rest of my colleagues on the thin grey line we protect the public behind the walls and fences. Invisible and also in plain sight. Because we don’t get headlines it doesn’t mean we do heroic work day in day out.
@MrPlodOfficer
Many moons ago when I was a Special I was asked to provide a serial for NYE. I did and we went from job to job, fight to fight. Ended up doing a 18-00 to 08-00 shift. Last job a multiple stabbing where I was the only resource available
Today we said a final farewell to the legend who was
@Jonatha58242601
. It was humbling to see so many attend from far and wide to honour him.
@HMPHewell
staff did him proud. Duty done now Jon
Evening all. Started the day as a member of Her Majesty’s Prison Service. Ended it as a member of His Majesty’s Prison Service. A change of one word but a significant one. Surreal after 19 1/2 years.
God Save The King.
Morning peeps. Enjoying my 3 day weekend. From tomorrow working all the way through to Easter Sunday. Not just emergency services protecting the public. Prison Service as always the forgotten service.
