Right now, I have to call 101 police, using up their valuable time and resources for them to call the person to get it removed.

I had to walk my kids on the road today because one whole street had cars parked on pavement.
Things will not change without consistent enforcement

Brought about by historic inept hmo planning.
But here we are:
Car parked on pavements, verges, anywhere.
This was whilst walking kids to school.
We had to walk on the road!

So far 1 death of an elderly gentleman-so saddened me to hear it. Such a huge cost to life.
What will it take to rethink Belfast inner city communities that is dominated by cars?
This can’t be put off any more

. Holylands (Collingwood Ave). Could you explain how someone gets a pram, wheelchair, or mobility scooter, past these cars on the footpath? It’s happening every day, and ZERO enforcement reps on the streets either pre-9am or post-5pm. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Thing is-we know the plan is to double yellow car more streets to make the Holylands safe and livable
My worry is we are at a stage where double yellow lines mean nothing to many people and they know they can get away as once a week someone comes out to ticket so the risk is low

So-this is the current state of our alleyway.
It has actually been thoroughly cleansed by the council by now-but highlighting this as we believe it’s not the councils job.
Alley gates would be a huge start.

Have it on cctv too-I wanna rip out there and challenge him but a large group of drunk students isn’t wise.

Stranmillis embankment is a 30mph zone but actually in practice it’s 40+
When you pause on that bend, it’s so hard to cross the street - or start to- only to be suddenly met with a fast approaching car
Scary for new cyclists and parents

Space and if a student house want to go crazy with a rave, then all we want is a very simple way to make a complaint and a fine be levied to the occupants.
