I have frequently argued that "Unsupported" is a terrible term for Steam Deck compatibility, "Unsupported" should only ever be used for games that are known to not launch at all. But the what it often means is incorrect glyphs, small font, weird resolution, etc.
yeah it runs on stovetop timers, github commit history boxes, pure css, and pregnancy tests, but you have to draw the line somewhere
