When I was in the navy our ship, the USS Nassau, lost power in the Persian gulf several times. We had Iranian spy planes flying directly over us and could do nothing about it. Many of these ships are very old. That was back in 2008 and the ship had been commissioned in the 1960s.

Umm, .50 caliber machine guns on the sides of the ship, but without power seawiz or anti air missles won't work im pretty sure. No, we were just told to go inside. It happened during rough seas as well.
