To everyone parroting "husband of one wife" as a requirement to be an overseer:.
@HarpazoDynamo @creation247 Did Paul need to tell women to only have one husband? The idiom is "faithful spouse". If not, then an overseer (NOT "office") also must be married and must have obedient children. disqualifying Paul and Timothy.

@tompawnbadil Emphathy is a sin? You just called Jesus a sinner. Where is your love for the lost (John 3:16)? Sin must be exposed and condemned, yes; but empathy is the very heart of God.

@tompawnbadil @joe_rigney Don't know who that is, don't care. Tethered to what? Is God's love tethered? And yes, the logical conclusion of your argument is that since Jesus' love is "untethered" and you say this is sin, then you make Jesus a sinner.

@tompawnbadil @JoshPer95561888 @joe_rigney I've heard sermons for over 65 years, kiddo. Your own ideas are no less 'of men' than anyone else's.

@CuriousBunnie12 They never think of that. Do they really want men to be pre-K teachers? And how do the women get qualified to each school without going to college? I'm guessing they'll say only single women can work. but still, college. What to do??.

@philvischer Cruel is 'losing' 130k children at the border. Cruel is making the middle class of America pay for healthcare they themselves can't afford. Cruel is failing to speak up for the LAST FOUR YEARS about any of it. Stop being a hypocrite.

@KaeleyT Exactly. For most of history, women have been considered possessions, not people. We get a little reprieve in modern times and suddenly it's ok for men to CRY and cry about pushback.

@1984_nate @ProvisionistP Their twisted def. of sovereignty is their projection of their own fragile egos. Their God cannot allow the slightest opposition, the slightest lack of forced control, the slightest freedom of thought or will. But we cannot love God unless we're free not to.

@Stephenmac437 @mrunder43749840 @godlywomanhood The sin is taking life choices away from women. I freely chose to stay home after my first baby was born. I later found ways to work from home, which would have been more difficult had I not gone to college. We're adults, we'll figure it out.

@rightresponsem What religion is this? In Christianity, pastor is one of many gifts NOT given on the basis of the flesh. The church needs courage and humility, love for the lost and nurturing for the saved. Go be a muslim if you want 'masculine energy'.

@jtcope4 @godlywomanhood Separating the sexes till they leave college makes healthy relationships between them just about impossible. By that time they view each other as too different to be friends, coworkers, or life partners. If they've not learned to behave by college, that's on the parents.

@agapeelaphros I always read carefully. This "sabbath rest" is clearly not "the 7th day of each week" in context. It's an analogy, not a law. If that isn't enough for you, nothing I'll say will be. At least we agree on that.
