Right away I requested the Commons Library to produce a briefing on Special Educational Needs services in Norfolk & I followed this up by visiting the Table Office to discuss questions I could table to your new government.

Had a chat with a grandma today about a 10 year wait for her grandchild to be assessed for SEND provision. It was a shocking experience she shared & is why she’s voting Labour.

The Tories said the SEND system is “lose, lose, lose”.
I agree.
The difference is I’m gripping the issue. We have already restructured the Department to focus on improving inclusion in mainstream schools for children with SEND.
A long way to go, but an important start.
