Hartnell. Carried topweight to win an Epsom in record time. Won a BMW, Orr & Turnbull (flogging the subsequent Caulfield Cup winner). 2nd to the only four-time Cox Plate winner in her most dominant Cox Plate win. 3rd Melbourne Cup. 2nd All Star Mile. 11 times G1 placed. Champion.

Everything that’s wrong with Aus racing is that he’ll probably get his wish and a new $5M race restricted to 3YO colts starting with the letter E. Run him in the TJ or take him to the UK to increase his stud value.
Wayne Hawkes is unsure what path Exceedance will take in the autumn as unlike in spring with the Golden Rose and & Coolmore there is no marque 3 year-old Race.
Hawkes said it was an opportunity for a new race to attract a clash with Exceedance, Yes Yes Yes, Bivouac and Libertini

Track managers have an extremely tough gig often at the mercy of the weather. Both Caulfield & Cranbourne have absolutely nailed their tracks on their biggest days. Caulfield Saturday & Cranbourne Friday/Sunday couldn’t have raced better. Credit where it’s due.

Peak William Pike. Given the context of the day where most punters had struggled, particularly in Victoria. He’d just got out of two weeks quarantine. It was WA’s biggest race and on the heavily-backed favourite he produces an absolute trademark peach. Legendary stuff.

Been on racetracks since I was 10, saw 70k at Randwick watch a Doncaster (the streaker 1), worked 4 a bookie at Uni, saw 10 Melbourne Cups & owned horses. The latest racing inquiry doesn’t smell it stinks like a rotting corpse. Needs a RC.

BREAKING: Tharnicaa (nearly 4 years old) is being medically evacuated to Perth for treatment of a suspected blood infection. She was hospitalised yesterday on CI after suffering a high fever, vomiting/diarrhoea & dizziness for 10 days. Pls keep our little cockatoo in your hearts.

Does anyone have a problem with a track where the fence is cast at Warrnambool? If the inside is inferior they fan and everyone gets their chance. Putting less water on the inside and then rolling the inside seems to have created a severe bias and extremely disappointing track.
