Generations before us have fought for the rights and freedoms of the girl child. As we get closer to a world where every girl can rise, dream, and lead without limits, our responsibility is to nurture our potential, uplift one another, and become the best versions #GirlChild

@Esau_Matsiko The last statement is very correct. One needs to get familiar with reality in schools for them to believe that actually some students deserve canes

Walking on the streets of Nairobi on a Sunday like this, is healing . The beauty, creativity and vibrant atmosphere, so admirable. And how everyone is catered for, amazing! I feel this submission.

@MakamoiFrancis @sdkafeero @PoliceUg @BalaamAteenyiDr The problem you are judging this video basing your past traumatic experiences. I understand that extreme cases of teacher brutality exist and are completely unacceptable. However, in this instance, the teachers appear to be relatively responsible, by telling a child to lie down.

@KarungiPreciou3 @sdkafeero @PoliceUg @BalaamAteenyiDr I only said I am a teacher, not sharp 🌝 Nekyilala you are generalizing whereas I said "some children". Teachers don't generalize, we look at a learner not learners. I insist, some learners don't understand positive reinforcement, thus we do the opposite.

@KarungiPreciou3 @sdkafeero @PoliceUg @BalaamAteenyiDr I am a teacher that's why I understand that this is effective for some learners. Nekyilala, times have changed but some places and people have remained the same.

@dr_katumwa This is how you know that someone is a cool kid. Let me let you know that some children are children of struggle, you either use force or never get anything good out of them. And have you thought about if it's a parent's recommendation?

@MakamoiFrancis @sdkafeero @PoliceUg @BalaamAteenyiDr The comparison isn't entirely fair. African children grow up in different environments, face different challenges, and are raised with different cultural values. Discipline methods that work in the West may not always be effective here. Like I said, except for some....

@sdkafeero @PoliceUg @BalaamAteenyiDr In some cases, schools act based on parents' recommendations. While some children respond well to positive reinforcement, others only change their behavior when they fear consequences. You may not fully understand this, but for certain students, caning remains an effective way.
