Adding on that, I was really amazed to know that a specific variant in a gene led to the loss of hearing in neonates as it wasn't functional in a specific time during embryogenesis! Each second has its own impact on development!

نفس الحكاية تتكرر ببداية كل مرحلة، الصخب و التعقيد بازدياد مستمر .. لكن لا بد من وجود محطات سعادة أو إنجاز لكلٍ منا متناسبة مع تطلعاته تدفعه و تساعده في مواصلة المسير ..
الأمور في بداية العشرينات من العمر تزداد صعوبه، لم يعتد عقلي على هذه الكمية من الصخب، على هذه الكمية من الافكار و التشتت.
ربما كانت الحياه اقل تعقيدا في السابق، لكن الان لا يكف عقلي عن التفكير، اما المستقبل فآمل ان يكون ابسط من الحاضر، أمنيه ساذجه على ما يبدو.
إنّه امر مرهق.....

Insightful thread!!
Few reflections as I finish 2 weeks of inpatient service:1) I admire how people with little kids manage clinical-academic-personal life balance as I can barely manage even without kids; 2) A regular day for us is a patient’s worst day ever-important to keep that perspective
