I don't think he did. You're comparing video of private property with public property. Those are very different things. It would be comparable to right media showing video of poor urban apts. Which they aren't doing any more often than redneck trailers are shown.

The last 4 years of the city council really squashed the public spirit. They made it very clear the city only cared about a small percentage of the population. And the rest of us had to fend for ourselves. Government is supposed to be for everyone not just some.

Housed folks I work with rely on jobs and making good decisions to feel warm when it's cold. Homeless people aren't a different species that are required to be homeless. Let's not pretend they are.

Unfortunately, this is not true. The people living on the streets now are mostly terrible neighbors. When they move into a building they harass and traumatize others in the building. I have many years of experience with housing homeless people and this is a huge issue.

I think you mean do nothing positive. They do harmful things. My grandparents had to live in a fifth floor walk up into their 80s because rent control tied them to their apartment until we were able to move them out of NYC to a non-rent controlled city.

I made $25-$40 an hour after expenses delivering downtown before minimum wage law passed. Now I see cyclists just sitting around waiting. Glad I’m not someone that relies on the money. Seattle screwed them.
