Today, I am withdrawing my number 2 endorsement of candidate and Suzy Loftus.
As of today Chesa Boudin carries my sole endorsement for District Attorney.

Never again means never again for anyone. Never again also means ppl of conscience have a responsibility to prevent the past fear & indifference to Jewish suffering from ever happening again to anyone anywhere. Ppl have the right to call out elected leaders’ complicity w/genocide
Resigning from a Cabinet post at the end of 45’s four year term is not an act of decency but an act of cowardice. Resigning is just another dereliction of duty, an abdication of the duty to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove a tyrant, ruling by fiat & white supremacist mob rule
I appreciate
@LondonBreed
leadership on the Embarcadero Navigation Center. Standing up for compassion is exactly what is expected of our elected leaders.
@JaneKim
Absolutely appalling how crookedly the Chronicle is reporting on the SF mayor’s race. This is the state of journalism from a so-called reputable news outlet like other outlets attacked as “fake news”. Jane has a great record & that’s what the news should be about. Period.
This now two person race will really come down to who folks believe will be the greater reformer — the independent justice fighter vs the insider who was appointed by the mayor’s political machine to which she will have to be loyal.
New poll shows voters support Chesa Boudin at 21%, Suzy Loftus ay 18%, Nancy Tung at 11% and Leif Dautch at 10%. But 40% of potential voters still undecided in SF’s DA race (poll was commissioned by Boudin’s team)

@BernieSanders
puts hope in ppl & understands that the only way to save our planet fr climate catastrophe & our society fr disintegration is to recreate our political system fr the ground up.
Don’t feed the trolls!
@TheLeagueSF
voter guide is out just as ballots are dropping. Objectively researched and brilliantly written, it’s the most informative voter guide in SF. This labor of love needs your support. If you like the league pls donate

@BernieSanders
knows that only a movement of the people can make our democracy real and wrest control of our country from the destructive greed of the 1%.

Just left Balboa Park Station canvassing for
@chesaboudin
with the

guide. Still lots of voters out there. Still votes to get. Polls close out 8. So proud to be part of the movement to end mass incarceration.
45’s military flyovers may be intended as a military salute to healthcare workers on the front lines of saving lives, but for many, the flyovers are an ironic reminder of how our public health system operates on scarcity due to the overall dominance of the US war machine.
It’s difficult to concentrate knowing all these war planes are flying overhead, wasting our common wealth to rub it in our faces that our pandemic is worse bc public health & Medicare for All take a back seat to the military industrial complex and empire, forcing scarcity locally
Out today with
@chesaboudin
in the Excelsior and getting the big
@TheLeagueSF
“double take”as people turn back around after first rejecting the offer of the voter guide. Objective with a layer of bias, it’s the best voter guide bar none!
When asked what kind of political leadership is required to undo the damage Lee’s policies have done, Avalos replies, “I think we need someone who has an anticapitalist perspective. Our capitalist market is not going to bail us out of growing inequality.”
I come from a part of LA w/a big lowrider culture & understand how ppl love to show off thr cars. I also think that sideshows & the literally EVERY DAY donut making on D11 streets are absolutely dangerous, annoying, harmful to peds, children, seniors and must stop!
Criminalizing sideshows and taking working class people’s cars as punishment during a PANDEMIC is PEAK gentrification
And doing so in the midst of protests about policing and police brutality??
What is
@Ahsha_Safai
doing?

The resignation of DA George Gascon and the appointment of Suzy Loftus in his seat steals the first time in over 100 years that SF voters get to vote in an open seat election of the District Attorney.
Had a blast walking the Mission walking with
@TheLeagueSF
voter guide last night. Even if ppl don’t agree with all The League’s positions they still appreciate the analysis.
@petergallotta
Our planet is in crisis. Already, parts of the world have become uninhabitable for most life forms. Humans have only a few years to prevent total catastrophe. I just signed a pledge to support The Green New Deal to create a sustainable economy

I am honored to have the sole endorsement of the
@TenantsUnionSF
“Tenant” is a class distinction based on a relationship with a property owner, landlord, denoting a power imbalance.
They’re only interested in stroking themselves and their fellow capitalists. The math works well for their profits only when they can build — but not in building anything working people need and can afford. Their fragility is tied to their knowing deep down they’re dead wrong.
Big difference between having wealth and serving the wealthy. If folks can’t see the difference then they miss a huge distinction in choosing their representatives and what their representatives fight for.
@AvalosSF
@DeanPreston
You clearly haven't read his campaign disclosures. He's a tech millionaire whose parents bought him a mansion. Hard to get much more 1%-ey.
The best antidote to the Garry Tan echo chamber pot is
@TheLeagueSF
voter guide. Hope from the toxicity of the trollionares. It’s entertaining too. Check it out:
The healthcare workers at seton deserve their sick leave and deserve every freedom to advocate for themselves! Stronger protections for our workers now, here and everywhere!

In my decades of service & community organizing, I have never been subjected to blatant falsehoods like this one from Judy Lee, but the incumbent is so desperate that he has fallen to a new low of mendacity
This morning, I received what looked like a mass text from Supervisor
@Ahsha_Safai
that mixes his official duties with electioneering. The text includes no disclaimer in violation of the law. I called on the Ethics Commission to conduct an investigation.
Just so it’s clear: While I believe people have the right to protest and confront elected officials who are complicit w/genocide. I deplore antisemitism. The mash up video that JCRC has put together to distract from the genocide contains glaring antisemitic remarks that I condemn
I recently retweeted a video clip from JCRC without reviewing it. That clip contained hateful antisemitic language. I am sorry for my mistake & apologize for the confusion and hurt it caused. I have deleted that tweet.
The resignation and appointment smack of back room dealing, political opportunism and corruption. Ya think the DA office would be immune to such corruption!
My deepest condolences to Ed Lee’s family and to all who feel his passing. Ed Lee sacrificed a secure life of retirement to answer the call. I didn’t always agree with his approach to governance but recognized his hard work and selfless dedication to serving this great city.
🚨🚨🚨 SOLE ENDORSEMENT ALERT! 🚨🚨🚨 Honored to have the sole endorsement of
@seiu1021
. Together during the Great Recession, we saved the City's Public Safety Net. Now, we will continue to work in solidarity towards a Just Recovery for all. Adelante!
San Francisco has such homelessness BECAUSE we are one of the wealthiest cities in the world. SF is one of the wealthiest city’s in the world because we serve the rich and powerful on everyone’s dime. I’ll fight against corruption to SERVE THE SERVANTS with livable communities.
Last week at the security check point, the Sheriff’s pulled out union leaflets and attempted to confiscate them or bar me from entering with them. In my 20 years working inside and outside at City Hall I never saw that happen before
SF Housing Organizer Sarah Shortt and City College union leader Jennifer Worley were just arrested after rallying for mental health care at peaceful rally sponsored by city supervisors.
@sfexaminer
There’s no need for another SF tenant advocacy political org. I will not be filling out the SF Renters Alliance questionnaire. A “renter” describes more a transactional relationship, removing the class distinction. I’ll still fight for tenant and expect to help renters too
I work w/frontline healthcare workers. I’ve been blown away at their selflessness & courage. My faith in humanity soars. We truly are a compassionate species. Let’s not forget that. And as we discuss our condition lets not say “infected”. lt’s so “stigmatizing”, and “othering”.
Thank you
@DeanPreston
for authoring legislation to prohibit landlords fr evicting residential tenants for nonpayment of rent due to the coronavirus pandemic. Government’s highest mandate is ensuring public health for all and public health is founded on access to stable housing
In 2014, we brought the SF Federal Credit Union to challenge the Wall Street Banks in D11. Instead of extracting wealth from our beloved Excelsior the SFFCU has been opening accounts for high school students & families and taken part in community development efforts. Adelante!
SF is still worth fighting for and the main fight for the soul of the City is in D11. The Avalos 2020 campaign is all about uniting this working & middle class community against rapid gentrification. Can you help us reach the fundraising deadline strong?
🚨🚨 Sole endorsement alert! 🚨🚨 We are so excited to have the sole endorsement of
@sfbike
! We can’t wait to ride together to promote conscious biking, protect cyclists and pedestrians and to build an infrastructure to make biking safer for all! ¡Adelante!
Great! Happy to help! Please join me to support Prop I and K on the November ballot. Prop I is an increase to the Real Estate Transfer Tax to raise revenue for housing and K will allow municipal housing to be built. Good stuff to support
@DeanPreston
Election 2020 is tax the rich season. Don’t let the billionaires fleece us. Vote Yes on CA Prop 15 Schools and Communities First; Vote Yes on SF Props F (big biz tax), I (big $ Real Estate Transfer tax) & L (CEO tax). Help our schools & educators by Voting Yes on SF Prop J.

Tonight my family decided to support our favorite local restaurant

and ordered take out for delivery. We chatted at the door for a few minutes and we heard about some of the taunts that the driver receiver when delivering ppl their dinner. People forget but . . .
A recall against SF DA
@ChesaBoudin
would "block the progress Black and brown San Franciscans hope to see in their city."
It's being bankrolled by the same forces funding voter suppression in Texas & Georgia.
We must
#StandWithChesa
and FIGHT BACK.
SF March primary voters have a clear choice for the DCCC— a slate in the traditional of the City of St. Francis built by everyday ppl or the slate shilling Imperial Rome under martial law funded by the trollionaires. Vote Labor & Working Families
Corner of Ocean Ave and San Jose across the street from Balboa Park BART Station and Muni Hub could hold 500 units and still offer church services. Instead it’s a parking lot that rents spaces for church revenue, sustaining unsustainability
Here’s the most humbling honor of the year, Ady Barkan endorsing our campaign to win back the people’s voice in San Francisco’s District 11. Thank you, Ady! This one’s for you! We will fight along side you.
Before ALS, before you knew my name, I worked with San Francisco’s John Avalos

to launch

He’s a fierce advocate for social justice. I couldn’t give a stronger endorsement.

When we ask D11 voters, "Do you think billionaires, big real estate, and corporations should determine the outcome of the election?", the answer is always a resounding, "NO!"
Queremos un San Francisco donde quepan muchos San Franciscos.
High drama in Daly City City Hall and at Seton Medical Center as the hospital staff and patient community beseech San Mateo County officials to intervene to protect public health and keep Seton Medical Center and Seton Coastside open. Shout out to
@davidcanepa
for his advocacy
It’s official! I am running for Supervisor on
#ajustrecovery
platform centered around the needs of essential workers many who live in D11. We are unbought and unbossed by the POA, corporate, & real estate interests. Join us
The SF Police Office Association brings shame to the
@SFPD
with their thin skinned masks that tell the public our lives are more important than by yours. You have to wonder at the fitness of officers to serve POC and follow use of force general orders.
Thank you San Francisco.
While there are ballots left to count, I am excited for a Mayor Mark Leno administration.
I still feel like we won-- because San Francisco won. Rank Choice Voting, a system progressives...

@Ahsha_Safai
is the only member of the
@sfbos
to not pass an ordinance in 2020 while D11 has fallen into disrepair & homelessness has grown. He did buy a house in probate court late last yr & Vanguard Props appears to have turned its commission into Safai campaign contributions.
And with growing inequality, climate chaos, never ending war and the constant stampede over native lands for fossil fuel, the need for a public bank is abundantly clear. Looking forward to seeing y’all Jan 10th
We are honored to have the endorsement of former Supervisor, former State Assemblyman, and current dear friend Tom Ammiano. Tom, your support means the world to us. Be like Tom!! Donate and volunteer at
The BoS mtg on 7/19/16 was a brawl that came out of the committees which Breed stacked w/cronies who watered down & passed to the full board legislation to be aired for an anti homeless and pro cop floor fight, her minions armed with sanctimony and self righteousness indignation
@uhshanti
And then there was the time
@AvalosSF
tried to put a chunk of the SFPD budget on reserve (not even cutting it) until they implemented reforms, but the BoS voted it down 5-6. (Near the bottom of this article. That was an awful day in City Hall.)
Gotta give them hope. Prop A is one ballot measure that unites the entire political establishment.. $300m may be small but it will help SF’s economic recovery, support women survivors, & build housing.
