Turned 49 years old on 1/2/24. 23 years living with HIV. Unfiltered, Unashamed, Unapologetic, Fearless, Resilient, BOLD, Brave, Beautiful, and Happy. Having been on ARVs for 22 years I want injectable 💉treatment for AFRICAN women.

No baby should be born with HIV . We need to support mothers to present early without the fear of Stigma . No one talk about the fear these women face when testing or learning their new HIV status . Also not going to entertain any messy comments
Longterm survivor day,22 years of living every day. What a privilege to fight, have lifesaving treatment, and be loved by my family. When I look at this picture all I cant do is be Grateful to watch my daughter become.UHC is a HUMAN Right.

This is how you introduce your new fighter to a lifelong challenge. Been 23 years changing meds for the 3rd time because of newer meds, easier side effects, and fewer pills. The science keeps evolving. we fight for access in these corridors we also fight for ourselves
Young people can finally go to a clinic near them and ask for an HIV prevention option of their choice
. Please retweet they may be a young woman who needs this intervention
Today we came together to congratulate and launch the Dapi-ring as a new PrEP choice at Maria Rantho Clinic in Soshanguve, Tshwane. This site will be one of the first Department of Health healthcare facilities in South Africa to provide the PrEP ring as an additional PrEP choice.
At the BCIU reception, PEPFAR recognized the role of public-private partnerships on the margins of the PEPFAR COP Meetings. This should be a reminder that the Private sector has a massive role in ensuring we end Aids by 2030.

who has stood and faced every challenge in his fight for the rights, respect, recognition and well-being of the LGBTQ community in Uganda. No matter all sorts of intimidations he has continued to fight. We dedicate this day to celebrate 🍾 you.
2.Never did I think I would be at the center of fighting for the rights of PLWHIV, Fight for Treatment, or even be at the forefront of fighting for the research and development Agenda for my country and AGYW in particular.
1.Never did I even imagine that I would be infected with HIV the person they were describing was not me and clearly, I was not at risk. No one told me all I needed was to have sex once, without a condom.
I am here to tell HERSTORY.
I am here today to defy the ERASURE of the Role of women and that of our communities and allies in Research and development.
That I am aware that what I am going to present today is not even a fraction of the work that women are doing globally
I make this point, but I also want you to know today I am not coming here to fight but to celebrate the Anger, Resilience the Aggressiveness of Black women and yes we have all the reasons to be angry.
3.Even though I never imagined these things, I was raised by my grandmother, a land activist, who showed me how women fight for their rights. So, when things happened that I did not imagine, I knew exactly what to do.
We must Never forget that we got here because of Activism. Activists fighting, screaming, and Shouting. Nothing is ever given to the Community unless we Fight.
The amazing team at APHA would like to wish all our partners , friends and Allies a happy AFRICA Day . Today may we all be united by our Vibrance , Rhythm , talents and most of all our UBUNTU

I promised my friends who died I will look after and out for our children. And one of the ways that I am taking care of them is by standing here in front of you to remind you that the work of Black women living with HIV is unfinished.

We were the ones taking the treatment while pregnant to prevent our babies from getting HIV? The same babies are infected with HIV now because you are not doing anything to ensure they have the tools to prevent themselves from getting HIV. Why do you hate black women so much?
Being the Global Aunty comes at a price, tears of joy .... Watching young leaders just be amazing. Super Proud of the Ground forces and every single person and organization committed to Let Young People Lead. I see you ...
One of the highlights for us as an Organisation that strives to ensure we build young women's leadership and mentor young leadership was the ability to take 4 of the APHA ground forces to

This is where I found myself with my diagnosis. I carried the three burdens: Being Black, Being Poor, and Being a Woman; and I soon learned that these Burdens would be mine to carry for the rest of my life.
You trigger us unprovoked you keep reminding us why we should not TUST you. Women told programmers not to only offer prep to certain populations that it will stigmatize Truvada, Well!!!!! Today women are not taking Prep because the research just doesn’t care enough.
Good morning happy New Week y'all, Last week in Pictures. One of my biggest Flexes is the

ground forces mentorship program within the Organisation. Annually we recruit and mentor young people to be leaders in R&D and Advocacy. But not without sufficient support
We as advocates/activists worked hard to educate our communities on what. U=U is.

We are beneficiaries of our own advocacy. I started ART a month after my diagnosis in 2020 and to start the month of May 2024 with 1 pill a day after many years of fistfuls of drugs including a bathroom drug aka ALLUVIA is testimony of why I fight so hard.
The certification for completing the 2-year mentorship program. And what better gift than these two books authored by amazing , feminists , advocates and leaders themselves

Patriarchy is shaking and I love it for them . Let them unravel by being amazingly beautiful my LEADER. You are a Global icon. I love it when they spin out of control..
BTW the worst side effect of Alluvia is a runny tummy. There is nothing you can do about it. Before food, after food, during food, you will find yourself in the bathroom.
We recognize the advances that science is making in treatment solutions and the prevention of HIV. But the devil is in the detail making the timelines shorter for these to be in the hands of those who need it the most.
But first -- another demonstration. This one by sex workers demanding decriminalization. Sex work is work & recognizing this fact is key to
