We cant solve inequality with jobs because inequality is about accumulated wealth not short term income.
But it's even less likely for jobs to reduce inequality when you leave people vulnerable to being exploited because of desperation in the most unequal society in the world.
DA Chairperson Helen Zille says the best way to deal with inequality is to get people into jobs, which requires taking away impediments to job creation. With regards to minimum wage, Zille says if people are not prepared to work for what is on offer, they don't have to.
