1. No guns were banned during the 94 AWB. Only guns with certain features.
2. “Assault Weapons” weren’t commonly used in mass shootings before during or after the AWB
3. The spike in mass shooting numbers is due to a change in definition for mass shootings.

I went to a range and drew my pistol from my holster and set it on the table, waited 3 seconds and then picked it up and fired.
According to the range’s rules, that was fine. But my drawing and then shooting wasn’t.
