@hholdenthorp @Magda_Skipper I'm a former NIH-funded scientist, and I strongly disagree. Translating science into policy requires weighing value judgments, something that the scientific process simply can't answer. This weakens the credibility of science in the public eye.

@RadioFreeTom A neighbor, who I don't really know, got in my car, mistakenly thinking I was the Uber he had called. I freaked the eff out - it escalated to screaming in seconds - both of us were very confused. I feel bad and stupid. Thank God I am not a gun owner.

@eyeslasho I'm a doctor with most of my patients on the left side of the bell curve. They really struggle to remember when their appointments are, what pills they are supposed to be taking, what the name of their pills even are, what disease they have, or the names of any of their doctors.

UCLA is naively setting up their students to fail the STEP exams. That is why the sources in the article are speaking out.
