If anyone ever needs some talking points on the topic of why Philadelphia has (one of) the most walkable urban streetscape for major US cities 1. It has the most narrow streets in the United States. 2. It has the smallest avg house lot size 3. It has the lowest percentage of SFHs

People are always asking what's holding Philadelphia back And I think the answer is Philly has consistently had a top 3 dumbest/clowniest city council per capita among large US cities for decades. Philadelphia's elected officials genuinely do not want SEPTA to work

In a way, you could view it as Domb playing spoiler for Rhynhart. That 13% would have been enough to build the technocrat coalition but they never came together. There’s not that many of us

Fans poured out of the Wells Fargo Center last night in celebration in the parking lots of south philly. A joyous moment. Market East was not joyous at that moment. It was dead. Good luck finding a soul to talk. Just sad. (photo cred to the great photographer @TonyValuez )

The WCAU building still exists, but there should be a push to restore it's spire back to it's original former glory

Don't forget the Philadelphia Museum of Art was also chartered during the 1876 convention. There are a few major public works projects projected to be done before 2026

@Api91Test Philly got Fairmount Park from the Centennial, South Philly stadium district from the Sesquicentennial, and Independence Mall for the Bicentennial. But I haven’t of heard of any great civic project arising for the SemiQuinCentennial, have you?

In reality, my fiance's company closed their center city office this week and leased space in KOP instead. But sure, who cares about empty offices, cafes, and retail? We can just paint murals over and pretend it's all sunshine and rainbows.

This is a bad call. Philly alone can’t rewind the clocks to 2019. Flexible, remote work is the present and foreseeable future. We need to adjust.

People do realize that Philadelphia matching LA in this statistic is absolutely wild? The city w/ the most narrow streets has that many traffic fatalities? Unacceptable.

Why is Chicago’s traffic deaths not more like NYC? Do the city limits of Chicago include more suburban areas with higher car usage? Just surprised to see it rank next to car-heavy San Jose.

“There’s been this decades-long process of hollowing out cities essentially to favor the rich and those in the suburbs who drive everywhere,” - While other cities are making positive strides, what exactly is Philadelphia doing to reduce it's number?
