I am genuinely curious on what an actor or government would do with this data? Like would they track people of interest? Blackmail? Aid in assassination attempts? I really can't think of a definitive reason to get this data.
Today the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) reported a backdoor on two patient monitors. As cybersecurity people, we find this deeply troubling. As malware people, we find this cool and badass.

@ItsReallyNick @shotgunner101 @editortargett @UK_Daniel_Card I think it's important to understand that the NSA and other 3 letters don't exclusively do CT operations, and oftentimes aren't only targeting "adversarial nations", so burning any 3 letter capability doesn't automatically mean that they protecting terrorist orgs

@blackroomsec @CabelloAuden At least here they have the potential to get detained and have a roof over there head. Surviving is the priority, if that means being subjected to cruel conditions, but having a roof over your head, that's the option. I do agree with you it's cruel regardless

@nnwakelam While I agree that people do grow and change and I believe in less conviction and more reform, do you believe that the person you're speaking about has proven any sort of reform? Also holding the most powerful position in the world is a bit more than "participating in process"
