I’m going to start tracking the weird baseball merch I see out here.
I live in Bentleigh, a nice & boring suburb of Melbourne.
Today I saw a guy wearing a chief wahoo hat and a Red Sox t shirt.
The fan who caught Shohei Ohtani's first Dodgers home run says L.A. pressured her into giving up the ball, she tells
@SamBlum3
.
Ambar Roman says security separated her from her husband and made her accept a low-ball offer.
@TalkinBaseball_
This is the weirdest, most awkward free agent situation I’ve ever seen. Like, please trade him back if he cant act like a professional. We don’t want him.
Freeman, Mookie, Brusdar, Grove, Brasier, Edman, Rosario, Kopech, Flaherty should all be here within 1-3 weeks
Muncy and Yamamoto hopefully in a month or so
That’s a lot of reinforcements!!
@PadresStrong
@MLB
@Dodgers
@budweiserusa
You see, when teams clinch a division, they typically celebrate with beer and champagne. I understand you haven’t seen your team do that before so it must be confusing.

@sam_scherer99
Guy admittedly hates the dodgers and dodger fans. Can’t wait for Shohei to come here so he can twist himself in that pretzel
Mets booth just said the dodgers are 10 games over .500 and talked about their shortcomings, and it made me IRRATIONALLY angry.
FIRST OF ALL, we are TWENTY games over and we’re the ONLY ones allowed to talk smack about our team OK??
Truly the worst year in over a decade.
Huge expectations, historic offseason, then not even a fun summer or 100 wins, and headed for humiliation in the playoffs
@amaldorai
@brent_bisgard
@parismarx
There’s a difference between *inheriting* $300k in property, stocks and savings and getting a $300k *cash gift* knowing there’s a much larger inheritance coming too.
@comemierda_sfl
@ChadMoriyama
It’s actually really fun being a fan of a team that wins 100+ games every year, knowing homegrown guys are likely to stay, and no star player is out of reach!
@MLBMetrics
How is it you still don’t understand: yes, all the good teams were doing *something* at some point. What the Astros did was *by far the worst*. Like, you can still love your team and not act like they’re innocent victims.
Pros
1. It’s not my money!
2. He shortens the game if he deigns to pitch
3. We have 3 lefties total
Cons
1. Those tweets
2. He’s 30 and 5 years is forever
3. Gotta mention those tweets again
Per
@JimBowdenGM
, Josh Hader is looking for a contract bigger than Edwin Diaz’s 5y/$102M deal
Bowden mentioned the
#Yankees
,
#Rangers
and
#Dodgers
as three teams that are in play, but said that nobody has surpassed $100M with an offer as of yet
I don’t know if I tweeted it at the time, but I remember thinking Glasnow would need another IL stint before September to make sure he doesn’t increase his innings by more than 25% this year.
I hope that’s all it is…
Not to mention the insane takes about shohei’s character and intelligence framed as “analysis”. I even saw “I’m not blaming the victim (if he even is a victim) BUT…”
No I mean the analysis that came after that from the media and the smartest people in the room on Baseball Twitter. All the experts that came out and said it was absolutely impossible and the banking had safeguards and all that stuff.
Soooo what I’m hearing is they’ll try to get Yamamoto back to see if he can pitch at all this year, but he’s likely gonna have surgery at some point regardless 💀
Remember when Kershaw walked off the mound holding the ball in ‘21 with the elbow issue and we all thought that was it for him?
And then Muncy tore his UCL on the last day of the year?
And then JT tore his hamstring in the DS?
Those are the vibes right now.
"It's on my wish list"
@Dodgers
relief pitcher Michael Kopech says he would like to start again one day, but "it's up to the organization at this point" and says he has "found a fit" in the bullpen.
@Klein25
Yamamoto, Glasnow, Flaherty, plus two of Buehler, Miller, Kershaw, Paxton, Sheehan, Knack, Hurt, Wrobleski, Gonsolin, Ryan, and May should’ve been enough.
@DanTown22
He threw 58.1 across 10 starts in 2020 and was healthy for the playoffs. I imagine they’ll be suuuuper slow building him up.
If he’s 10-20 K’s short, I’m sure he’ll just exercise his option for ‘25 and come back to get the 3000!
