I really love how close Ohtani and Yamamoto have gotten with their Dodgers teammates including Kershaw and Barnes who have been with the team for the longest!
The artist who made the Shohei Ohtani mural in Little Tokyo will throw out the ceremonial 1st pitch on 9/9!
I also can't help but look at this photo and imagine a Dodgers world series parade heading down this street.
Let's hope that happens soon!
Yoshinobu Yamamoto watched Kenta Maeda pitch in the postseason at Dodger Stadium when he was 19. He is now our game one starter. Make us proud Yoshinobu 💪🙏
When Yamamoto had 14 strikeouts in the Japan Series (WS equivalent) last year! 🔥 He probably won't be throwing 138 pitches, but I hope we can see this kind of dominance tomorrow!
Ohtani is beaming today. Very happy with his season but more importantly winning and playing in the postseason 😁 Thank you for your dedication and passion!
Clayton Kershaw has said before that he'd think about playing 1B in Japan (NPB) after his pitching days are over. Former Dodgers Hiroki Kuroda and Kenta Maeda said he could come over "any time" 😂
Brandon Gomes talking about Shohei Ohtani. It was great to see Ohtani gesturing to get the ball for Charlie Blackmon's final hit of his career. Shohei also has the goal of pitching a no hitter in the final game of his career (if possible). He respects and loves the game.
Seeing Ed Sheeran at the Dodgers Gala was Shohei Ohtani's first concert ever and when asked about Margarita's, he thought he was being asked about pizza. That's how pure of a person he is. And people really thought he was gambling? 😭
