I know @PaulBongiorno well. He is one of the most decent men I know. He did not suggest @matthiascorman was a Nazi (if he did, I would have condemned him) he simply said if you're going to lie, make it a big one & quoted Goebbels. The huge pile on shows how much Libs fear Paul.

Another week of ‘lockdown’ for Sydney estimated to cost $1 billion. Making $3 billion so far. It would have cost $640 million more to buy 40 million doses of Pfizer rather than A-Z, yet the ‘party of business’ baulked at this...$660 million for car parks, notwithstanding. 🔥

Exactly. I've seen many women out at night whose appearance is simply stunning - never once did I think "she's asking for it." I've seen many women out at night who were clearly very drunk - never once did I think "she's asking for it." It is not the women at fault. It is the men

Once more for those at the back, women are not responsible for men's behaviour. Men are. If a man behaves badly, it is his issue, not hers. Most men get this, tragically too many of our leaders appear not to and this is both weird, scary and ultimately, self-defeating.

And it’s not even spring. Look at these idiots rejoicing at the repeal of the carbon price, the most effective measure we had to reduce emissions. What will they say to their children?

As of 6pm, there are 70 fires burning across the state, with 14 not yet contained. Over 750 firefighters and IMT members have been working to contain these fires. Tomorrow, a TOBAN will be in place for the Greater Sydney Region, Greater Hunter & Upper Central West Plains areas.

I find it odd that many of those who claim to be followers of Jesus of Nazareth use the term "left-wing" in a derogatory sense. You do realise that Jesus was probably the original socialist?

Been following federal politics in Australia for over fifty years. This is, without any question, the worst group of journalists. Just abysmal. The last election campaign & its gotcha bullshit was just the tip of the iceberg…and they’re so smug about how “well” they’ve done.

I always thought Billy McMahon was our worst PM, but Morrison makes him look like Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Churchill & Curtin all rolled into one. He is, without any question, the worst PM, not only in our time, but for all time.

The jury heard ALL the evidence, observed ALL the testimony AND unanimously found Pell guilty. Even though we exist in the post-fact Trump world, facts DO matter. You can't distort jury findings like the @australian likes to distort Newspoll results.

Paul Kelly in ⁦ @australian ⁩ argues George Pell’s conviction must be a miscarriage of justice because of media demonising of him in broader context of Catholic Church’s “unforgivable” failures. He shares Fr Brennan’s “improbabilities” judgment of victim’s singular evidence.

One of the loveliest, touching moments in the Parliament. @JuliaGillard appreciating the clearly genuine & heartfelt consoling that @TurnbullMalcolm provided to her on the passing of her father. I suspect having lost his dad at a young age would've affected him profoundly.

Take note Israel Folau. Alan Turing was Gay. He broke the Germans' Enigma code in WW2 which, it is believed, shortened the war by 2 years & saved millions of lives. He was later convicted of 'indecent behaviour', put on a course of chemical castration & then...committed suicide.

The impotence of our media (for the most part) is illustrated clearly in the qualification that the "PM deserves a break". The nation is facing a crisis and the PM is missing in action. That's all you need to know.

Re the #palaceletters : There was NO crisis of the Constitution, the crisis was inside the Coalition in 1972 when the Whitlam Gov was elected. The born to rule mob NEVER accepted the legitimacy of the ALP victory in 1972 or 1974 & manufactured the 1975 crisis. Shame, Fraser, Shame

Where the hell is Morrison? He's not a leader's arsehole. The east coast of the nation is in crisis & what's he doing? Fuck all! His big 'wins' this week: beating up on 'boat people' & gutting the public service. How useless is he? Where's the address to the nation? What a bum!

I recall how the Junie Morosi "scandal" obsessed the Australian press. I witnessed how she was hounded, tormented & humiliated. Fifty years later, I figured I'd never see such gutter journalism against a woman. I was wrong. Australia: Chauvinist one day, Misogynist the next.

For the benefit of dopey RWNJs: There were mistakes made in VIC during the original hotel quarantine. A minister & public servants have paid the 'price'. Perhaps @DanielAndrewsMP might, too. However, the 14 days straight of ZERO infections is a direct result of his leadership.
