In the US that would be battery on both you and the baby (as the stroller is touching the baby). I believe that’s common law and is the same across the pond. I’m not sure if it would help or not to remind people who do this of the law. Of course ideally, you shouldn’t have to.

Wow. I decided my only chance of passing the bar was checking in a hotel for at least a few days to do full length practice tests away from my loud house. I slept through the night for the first time in forever. I might not be starting “on time” but wow I feel like a new person.

I’ll go a step further, not only should they be leashed, but on a 6 foot (or less) NON-RETRACTABLE leash. I am an owner of a super friendly 15lb dog who is not aggressive to people or dogs. We live in a city. She only knows life on a leash. The leash protects her and others.

Same, I’m also 33. I’ve never taken a sick day or mental health day from work or missed a class in school because just the thought of asking for it has made me too anxious. Simone may have changed that for me. Nothing is worth more than health.

I remember Aleah being so upset at 2019 Pan Ams when she wasn’t cleared for vault finals due to a concussion. She probably knew it was her dad’s last chance to see her compete before he passed. Now she’s sharing a vault podium with 2 Olympic medalists, on Father’s Day weekend. 🥹

Yes a role model. If she went on bars and landed on her head there would be no team medal and the GOAT could have never walked again. This has happened to so many gymnasts who weren’t in the right headspace and got lost in the air. She said I’m not ok, and that was very brave.

My mom is a PCP. We are currently sharing a house. She had to spend a lot of time on Christmas notifying people that they had Covid. Many times she had to beg them to answer the phone, then specify that they cannot go out. My mom is nearly 70 & most of her patients are her age😩

My guess is that the class was over and the students left. They stayed to talk and forgot the recording was still on and a student later went to rewatch the class and saw this discussion. My law school automatically uploads the class recordings to canvas when the class ends.

No, 80% are men, 20% are women (and presumably children). Of those 80% of men, 70% of them have alcohol and/or stunts like this as a contributory cause. The swimming pool and other situations you refer to fall into the other 30% of men, as well as the 20% of women and children.

Assuming it is Shi’s ACL, I wonder what kind of resources she has available. Team USA doesn’t have a rehab facility like GB. She’s not on an NCAA team or Nike athlete. At least she probably has her mom’s + USAG insurance. I wonder if she’d consider an open NCAA spot for 2/3 yrs..

Gymnasts who have been paralyzed on skills they have mastered. A healthy respect for the danger of these skills doesn’t mean they haven’t been mastered. I’d rather see Simone’s YDP with a spotter than some of the non spotted “Hope for the best” Prodonovas we saw around 2011-2016

The DC bar exam this July was also one of the only exams in the country that mandated all test takers to wear masks and the proctors actually called people out if their masks weren’t on properly.
