@PGarbage97 @rodroob2 @churroallie @Victorshi2020 The fact that you can't realize why people would be mad about a genocide is telling

@ReubenR80027912 But for Gen Z, they didn't exist in a world before smartphones. And yeah...it is sometimes painful to watch

@ReubenR80027912 It's also interesting contrasting millennials and Gen Z. I've fallen into the trap of being on my phone too much. But at least I had early experiences of a normal social world before smartphones. So I can pick those skills back up if needed. More "atrophy" than "nonexistent".

@ReubenR80027912 Society basically fundamentally changed in 2012-2013, as smartphones became ubiquitous. And none of us had a clue it was coming

@Banglaphile @lubdha @lxeagle17 Definitely, there's some compartmentalization. For men in my community who have gotten divorced, it's more like "oh that's embarrassing" rather than active ostracizing, which I suppose is an improvement. For women, I concede it's probably more tough.

@Banglaphile @lubdha @lxeagle17 Yeah I'm Desi too so that's why I was wondering. I feel like Western diaspora Desis have gotten more open-minded about divorce but still pretty conservative overall
